Everyone has to download the hi-res pack, if they want all the DX11 bells and whistles.
The texture pack was finished after the game was content locked, so it's not actually on the disc.

Damn, I would have assumed to make people buy the retail that they would include it.
They could have done a Sacred 2 and included a seperate disc with it on it. Oh well long downloads for those with DX11 and Windows 7 :P

I don't think that's correct. The retail PC copy only has 7gig of data on it. At the Bioware forums, the download states that if you want to play the game on very high setting with DX11, then you need this download to make it work and it isn't already on the disc. You need a pretty powerful video card to use these textures according to the forum.
