And what would block the process? I should mention that when the game crashes, it has a Relic error screen, not just a CTD, for me.
your game is pointing to our trainer -guts- but unfortunately something blocked our trainer -guts- from being injected into the gamespace, so the program execution points to -nothing- which when the program flow reaches 00's then it crashes...bugsplat debug .dll of the game kicks in and pops up the error report window-

Yep, you guys are right. Crashed the moment I tried to do a game against CPU ("skirmish" mode).

@xxApolloxx -- firewall, antivirus, DEP, UAC, anything that protects against injection or one process modifying another one. This is not like the usual trainers we make, it actually does a lot more in order to defeat the steam protections. Just because one of our trainers works fine with your AV, firewall or windows settings, do not assume that this one will. Many AV, firewall and other apps cannot simply be disabled against this type of behavior and must be completely uninstalled.
There is really no other reason why this trainer would work for some people and not others which are on the same OS, game version, DLCs installed, etc.
That's just it, though. I don't use antivirus or firewall software. Even Windows Firewall is completely disabled. If I have a problem, I usually remove it myself.
UAC was disabled the moment I installed the operating system, the account is administrator, and I can run everything redundantly as administrator all I like, and still, the game crashes. Are you absolutely sure it's some other software blocking the trainer, and not an issue with, say multiple different versions (IG pack versus Space Marine pack, or something)?
I tried PW/Cal trainer and it worked fine for all options, even with Windows firewall enabled and Microsoft Security Essentials enabled.
I own Steam version with original version but no idea why don't work on some members here. It does work in both of skirmish mode and campaign mode too.
I wish that PW/Cal add few more options like fast spell/magic, fast build and reveal map.
thanks for this positive report. i realize this is about to sound like we are 'selling' our work, but there have been 1300 downloads of this trainer, the vast majority of which are using it with no problems. i feel confident that the problems with people having trainer crashes is likely that our trainer is being blocked or addressed by some sort of antivirus, antimalware, or firewall type program on their system. our trainer writes files the temp directory. our trainer forces code into another program's gamespace, etc. these things might be being blocked by your computer(s) in some way.
for the vast majority of users, our trainer is working 100% with no crashes, and FURTHER it works in both campaign and skirmish with no crashes since we took into consideration the steam triggers.
as pwizard said, however, DO NOT USE THIS ONLINE IN MP OR AGAINST HUMAN PLAYERS. you are asking for trouble if you do since it will likely desynch the game anyways..

send me a copy of your .exe and i can look at it. your .exe wont run on any other copy of the game, only on your cpu, so it's harmless for me to look at it.
likely it's just like the other 3 i looked at already.. the code areas are identical-

Awesome. I tried Kemicza's promo trainer. It worked. IT CAN BE DONE!
as discussed earlier and confirmed by several people, that trainer will crash skirmish (and likely parts of the campaign as you play it). you might want to confirm with him that he has addressed this fully or not if you plan to purchase the trainer from him to avoid any fallout for you or for kemizcka. we have respect for him and several other trainer makers, so i am sure he will fully disclose any problems and discuss this with you-
