So I need Steam + Water = Rain.

But how do I create Steam? Fire + Water... ??? Right.

But then what do I do????

i found this page which might have all the combinations but this does not cover all the possibles combination. Even the game says that the combination are infinite.

To answer the question, you have to hit space bar. I've only played the demo (at the time of writing, getting the full game off steam end of this week) but all Magicks in the actual menu that you learn by picking up the books you have to activate with space bar. So not right click or middle click etc but spacebar.
