Going off the work of mikadotx, all you need to do is to use Winrar or Winzip to extract the files from the spreadsheet.mob file. The path is file directory/GameDataSets/Classic_01/GameData/Common. Once those files have been extracted,open the propties menu on the extracted folder and turn the Read-only option off. Then open the racemodifiers file. Before editing this file, make a copy of it. Depending on what race you want to play as, all you have to do is add or edit whatever modifiers you want to your species. Be aware that these modifiers will only work on that species and no others that have been added to your empire. Then make a new folder labeled Spreadsheets in the same folder that the spreadsheet.mob file is. Save the edited file into this folder and there you go. Have fun and experiment.

I been trying to get this to work for a couple hours now. But every attempt has ended with the game giving me some directx error when I am done setting it up.
Any attempt at modifying this file results in a directx error.
