Dead Space 2 Message Board  

I am stuck in chapter 7 and would like to skip it and jump to chapter 8, in general how do i use the savegames feature? I have paste in in user/eagames/dead space 2 and I see the ds-slot20.deadspace2saved ..... Please help

you Can BUT you msut be a REALY good coder and know the code entrys to write your pathway or else your corrupt it aka u gotta write the code that u've gone thru chapter 7 and then put in the code for chapter 8


In Short you got Do Lua and etc you got to in short WRITE the files aka make the text files and edit the savegame's contents

Then what is the "savegame" good for? I have used in other games a "savegame" and when asked "Load" it gives you a list of all chapters and you can choose.
Here it just forces me to start a new game and that's it !!

If by stuck you mean you crash, then either buy the game or check around your illegal downloading site for a fix, because we can't help you in this case, you have to help yourself.

If by stuck you mean you can't progress because you lack supplies or ammo, remember kinesis and stasis are easy things to use to save ammo. Pick up dead necromorph's blades and use them for one-shot kills, stasis groups of enemies and use an area-effect weapon like the Detonator or the Pulse Rifle's grenades (Maybe the line gun), or use the trainer.

When I say "stuck" it's not the PC nor the game itself that is "stuisk" but me. I can't negotiate the navigation when i am "flying" and have to go thru obstacles. And I am tired of trying. I play games for entertainement not for chalenging. I thought of just skiping that section and go through the rest of the game.
So let me repeat my question: How do I use the savegame feature I downloaded ? I dont see a list of chapters I can jump to when I invoke NEW GAME+

Do you mean in a Zero-Gravity area?

Are there even one-hit-kills in Zero-G areas? If not, use the trainer, give yourself infinite health, and stick through it. Navigating in Zero-G is just like on foot, except you can go anywhere, so use the boost, stasis, and kinesis at your leisure.

After aligning the antenas he mounts a kind of a chair and is ejected outside, he has to avoid big stones, contraptions first right, left, center and then he has to squeeze thru a ‘building’….. It’s not easy with a keyboard to maneuver him so I crash constantly at the end. After 10 times I threw the game out. Therefore I thought the savegame cheat would allow me to go to the next chapter.
But why is my ORIGINAL question not answered? I just asked how in the devil does one use the savegames feature ?
I put the DS2.deadspace2saves into the user/documents/EAGames/deadspace2 and start the game with Newgame+ but it just starts a brand new game ???
