Running the latest DX9 trainer, I realize the trainer works perfectly until I enter an elevator. This seems to happen with EVERY elevator, which makes the trainer quite unusable.

Thinking into consideration some suggestions I've seen, I turned off all cheats prior to going into the elevator, paused the game (went into the menu screen), and alt-tabbed to my desktop. I then closed the trainer (and checked that it's gone in the Task Manager)before going back in game.

Resumed, and it still crashes. Has anyone tried this and got it to work? Any idea what's causing the crash since all the cheats are now off?

I am having the same problem as well it seams that the AVP system has cheat checkup systems all throughout the game if it detects the trainer in any form before or during the use of it it crashes the game cheathappens have been working on it for months since the game came out and they are still working on it even now so don't give up hope just yet just let cheathappens know with the version your using, your OS, and where the problem occurs hopefuly they will fix it in time hope this helps

Same problem here too, using the latest Steam release of it. Happens every time I enter the nightclub elevator. Win7 x64 Ultimate

I see... I thought the detection was only done at the point of the event trigger. Grrr....

Me too. It crashes whether the trainer is running or not. Looking for a way around this as I'm actually really enjoying the game.

It seems to happen when you get an achivement of some kind. I've just come back to this game after my first play through when it was released. I've got a few achiements left and when ever I try to get them the game crashes. Deactivating the cheats or shutting down the trainer doesn't make any difference. Only playing without activating the trainer prevents it crashing. Maybe a nocd is the way forward?

same here..on 64-bit vista..maybe i'll try playing another chapter..preds for example till problem is sorted

Disabling the Steam In-Game Community made it work for me

[EDIT] Scratch that, it got me past the nightclub but crashed at the next elevator
