I'd normally recommend everyone to way for a patch because the game has some technical issues, just like the first one had problems with certain configurations, but since there's nothing else to be played from quite a while you should try to complete it. Hopefully it won't have a problem with your system. Bugs are another issue.

Huh...I JUST beat the game...man, that was awesome...especially the ending...not to give any spoilers but if you finished the first game, you're in for a treat at the end. Anyways, I managed to finish it without any bugs...I mean, none. No framerate issues (except when I tried to override the Anti-Aliasing with Catalyst Control Center...it didn't like that...), no trigger event issues, not even anything I needed to find a workaround for. Awesome game, well-polished, I consider this the first of hopefully many candidates for Game of the Year (then again, doesn't Mass Effect 3 come out this year? It may be no contest...)

yeah i finished it first time with no bugs, but on my second attempt had the chapter 3 bug, changed my res for awhile that cured it

From start to finish, I have experienced no bugs.

I only ran into one bug/glitch (aside from not being able to get certain RIGs on a New Game+); When I started my 2nd playthrough, right at the beginning when all you can do is run... there were NO necros. And I mean none. When I got the the part where you go through the door and get caught and then have to mash the A button (I use a 360 controller) there was just black after the door, I fell through and tried to restart from the last checkpoint, but the game basically got stuck at the Loading screen. Had to close the game and start over. So far that's the ONLY bug/glitch I've come across, so I don't think the game is as buggy as people say... or maybe its just the way my setting are that I'm not seeing it.

Re: xbox360 controller. Did you have to program all the buttons yourself? I tried using mine and it seemed that way. I just couldn't bring myself to bother with that.

Re: bugs. Sometimes Isaac gets stuck in forward motion. I have to hold down the S key just to keep him in place. The only fix I found was to make it to a save point, exit the game to the OS and restart.

The last time it happened, when I restarted the W key wouldn't work. Took another quit and restart before I had control again.

Played through 4 times so far and no bugs or glitches at all.
