It appears the retail pc version has been canceled. You can now only buy it from D2D and steam now. What a damn disastrous and hilarious release history.
Not exactly .....
The upcoming PC, Mac, Xbox 360, and PS3 RPG game Two Worlds II from developers Reality Pump has been jinxed ever since it was held back on the autumn 2010 release date due to a busy release season. The game was further pushed back to January 25 and then again from February 4 to February 18. The February 18 date has also been cancelled, but this time, due to an act of God. The freighter carrying the game stock from China to UK managed to wreck almost all of the release copies, and the ones that weren't are in no shape to be shipped to customers.
No word was given on exactly what caused the ruin, but since the ship reached in once piece with the damaged good, we presume it ran into some rough waters. "We just received the container from China with the Collector's Edition and other components and they are wrecked. Several components were just a total wreck and unacceptable for us to give out to our fans," told TopWare managing director James Seaman to Eurogamer. Already two years in the making, Two Worlds II is your quintessential RPG that goes old school with detailed crafting system, strong multiplayer component and deep combat system.
There is some saving grace though, as Seaman explains, "We are printing some of these in Europe now and the boxes are being air freighted from China. Officially, launch is the 25th, and this is final." That means February 25 is the absolute final release date, and that the copies are now being sent via air. Let's hope the cargo plane doesn't encounter turbulence or lightning storms this time; especially since the game has already been delayed by months.
