new version uploaded

Wow! That was Fast!
Did a quick test. Loaded game, hit F1 .. no crash. started game, selected planet hit numpad 1-7 ... all worked, no crashes. Thanks a bunch

"Numpad 9: Unlock Research Paths - select the Research item you wish to complete (such as Metallurgy) and then press this key. You will see that the paths unlock and are readable. Further if you queue any item and then press the key for the Complete Research option above, these paths will complete instantly."

Hi, It's pobably me being a bit thick and doing it wrong; but I followed the instructions above, which seemed to work up until the "You will see that the paths unlock and are readable" point with the exception of reasearch items becoming readable.

I click on the reasearch items around the research topic I wished to unlock, hitting F9, the small link Icons seem to appear but the item I want to unlock doesn't (it still states lock when I hover over the blank icon)...

... what am I doing wrong

I am currently running 1.1.0.0 with the appropriate trainer.

I have exactly the same problem as Tari.
The research tree also freezes when I use option 8 too much. The research tree won't update anymore though the levels are updated when I hover over them. No new trees will be unlocked afterwards.

Hey guys I think I might know the problem, they have updated the game to 1.2.0.0

Can't wait for the new trainer, makes this game soo much fun when I have my fleet of MEGA SHIPS :P

The game is in retired status. So we may not get one. I cannot fault him. The fact he does this much work by himself is staggering. It would be nice, and I love mega ships as much as you do! Usually I just build one big ship larger than the star. That seems to be a pretty good deterrent.
