How many others are so excited they pre-ordered nearly six months in advance?

Damn, that's cheap. Even with conversion I paid about twice as much on pre-order... and I don't think Steam offered squat for pre-order extras. Regardless, I'm still looking forward to it... and it wouldn't really be worth it to cross the pond to save a few quid.

I would not get it from steam. You want collectables ya go to the store and get it But even that shop around. Some places here are not even doing the premium one at all.

Good news for me! I was checking which edition STEAM's Witcher 2 is, and as it turns out, it is the Digital Premium Edition. So I will acquire all of what you got...

Unfortunately... I still paid more... oh the tears are flowing in the beer.

I've just downloaded the game from GOG awhile back, it's a 9G+ file. Just waiting for the activator to play the game.

Now replaying the witcher enhancement for import to the W2

I just cancelled my Steam pre-order.

I found out just a couple of days ago that despite nothing being mentioned months ago when I pre-ordered and with no notice of any change since then, that as a New Zealander, I would be getting lumped with a censored copy of the game created for the Australian market.

Over here we've got a games rating system like most other countries that go up to R18 but in Aussie their ratings system only goes as high as "Mature 15 Years" meaning that like in Germany, games have to be censored to get a rating for sale there.

In the Aussie version a lot of the sexual content has been cut and some quest rewards have had to be changed.
Namco-Bandai the distributor for the Asia/Pacific region are the ones to blame. They are only distributing a single version to market and only sought rating for this one edition in both countries. Furthermore, they are charging more for the game than any other region and to top it all off, they are forcing the digital distributors such as Steam to match price and game content so that customers will have no incentive to use those services.

I have pre-ordered again though, through the game developers own digital distribution company and they after news got out about the censorship and the pricing have made a couple of changes, if you buy the game from Australia or New Zealand, you will get the price difference back in the form of a voucher for store credit to buy other games, or, more importantly, they changed their policy to allow you to set your geographic region in your account, effectively allowing you to buy an uncensored version for another region such as North America at that region's price.

That's what I've done, I'm now getting the North American version for cheaper than I pre-ordered off of Steam originally. I get more bonus stuff. I get to pre-load the game and the developers distributed copy contains no SecuROM. Only game protection will be CD Key, no DRM.
