use the retail v1.1 for steam verson. worked for me

Have not the quite same problem, but special if i play predator challenge mode it's stop working like 3 sec and goes back ingame. But 5 minutes later my game crash to desktop with a GFWL crash message.
Got the game from GFWL shop, and version in the menu says "1.0" and does the trainer only support "1.1" or does it support both version?

Update the game then use the trainer that is for that updated version.

EDIT: Ahh you have the GOTY version, it should be fine with the 1.1 GOTY edition trainer.

But also try the other 1.1 normal retail trainer.
