Hi guys.
I own both the original title, The Witcher and The Witcher Enhanced Edition Platinum Edition. I read the post that the trainer only works with the Steam version, so I bought that too!
Now, The steam version, in my case at least, was a whopping 14GB download, but I luckily have a 20Mbit dedicated line so, no probs there...
I start the trainer, start the Steam version and, guess what, the Cut-outs and for the "Adult" scenes (which in my retail versions work perfectly) fade to black! They are censored!!!!
Is that correct or is it the trainer that glitches that???
I am not in USA, and in my country there is no censorship for that game, what is going on, ideas?
Thanks for reading, anyone got a solution, please advise me.

Well the trainer is not responsible for censoring that naughty stuff.
I am pretty sure that you have bought the censored version. I really don't think STEAM sells the uncensored version.
And please don't ask for a work-around here since its strictly forbidden.
If you feel the urge of enjoying the uncensored stuff, play with your other copy that has it.
Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

wasn't aware there WAS censor version. I assume you cant see the romance cards and what not. Also the trainer works fine outside of steam (i don't have steam myself) so you can play it in the regular pc version. Maybe there will be no censorship then.

Did not know...
Trainer does not work for me on the non-steam bought version.
How did you get the trainer to work outside steam?

what version of the non steam do you have, i have 1.5 enhanced edition. downloaded the 1.5 version and it works fine.
Depending on the game version you have, should be the trainer.

Did You Download The Steam Patch to Restore the Mature Content - its optional So it doesn't download automatically. do a search in the steam store for the witcher and you should see 'The Witcher: Director's Cut Update' it's listed as DLC although you can't find it on the witchers store page. it's free so you don't have to spend any more money on it it was already included with my copy because i have the UK Version, but it must be downloaded manually for the North american release
Hope This Helps

Doesn't Steam have the director's cut edition? If you somehow bought the cheaper non-director's cut version, you'll have to buy the director's cut version for the uncensored Cards and Scenes, otherwise you can still apply a steam version of the Director's Cut patch if I remember correctly.
