Hi im just wandering is it possible to change the type from government in the game for example from republic to anything else i've been looking around in the game and im not sure its possible so if anyone knows how to do it any help would be very appreciated thanks

Well you can go in the "Head of State" and make the selection system "Apointed for life", that way, you will have an unlimited term, then you can make the parlament have "Consultative role, no real power" to they don't have to vote and you can make the country a single-party state.

Im not sure if you can change republics to monarchies and such, but this cuts it close.

yh thats what i did and even made the governemtn a single party democracy instead of multi party but i can still get kicked out this way so its not enough

If it is a democracy, do it in stages, the one above or below.. As if you are USA and try to switch to dicatorship, it will not pass through congress or the senate, but if you do it slowly, law by law, it will work for you.. Bare in mind, changing things like this get you kicked out of NATO, EU, OECD etc.. depending on your nation..

If you are a dictatorship already with full powers, like China (Single Party Democracy), you can go all out immediately and do what you want with laws as you're the boss, plus the world will love you if you switch to democracy. But becareful of demonstrations if you go nuts on taxes.

Democracy is your problem. Democrats will hate you for dictatorial policies and will force you to mkae changes VERY slowly. I suggest you get rid of them and appoint some other party. Commies seem to not mind dictators and parties like royalists will love you if you do dictatorial stuff.

PS. If you wanna issue fast dictatorial policies, I recommend you play as Mauritania, N. Korea or China. There was also some Arab alliance thingy nation that also will love dictators, but its the smallest starting territory of the bunch.

Libya is good, full dictatorship + oil, also if u play on easy and use the popularity cheat, u can turn a country into a dictatorship in a week.

And lets think about it, if there is only one party, that doesn't mean there is only one person. Like in China, the party in power can replace you if your a horrible leader.

Republic can be changed to monarchy or another type
Depends from laws and need time for it.
For example dictatorship can be instantly changed to Parløament
