Crysis 2 Message Board  

This is the game i am most waiting for. Can't wait to get my hands on this baby. My Preceous! completed the original with all expans.. still play it coz its so Awsome! but crysis 2 is gonna be simply amazing. Who else can't wait to get there hands on this superb game..

January isn't far away at all. It will be well worth the wait.

Crysis, IMO wasn't that great of a game to be honest. Yes, it had graphics that were of the charts and a cool nanosuit and neat physics effects, but as far as its genre goes (being a shooter), it plays like most shooters. It sold very poorly (less than 100K), mainly because the game needed a rig near costing $3K+ just to get high graphics settings on it. I liked the game and my rig can play is maxed out, but it was a frustration for those whose machine couldn't run it. That game is still used as a benchmark for high end graphics cards to this day.

Having said that, I was part of the beta test for the 360 version of Crysis 2 multi-player and was totally underwhelmed by the looks and gameplay. It looked weak, even for the console version. I am hoping they ramp up the graphics. I am sure the PC version is going to be killer looking, unless Crytek takes the easy route and uses the console version as a port. You can bet the console version will outsell the PC version by miles since that is where the money is. If it is a port, I understand since the money is in the consoles.

i've seen the vids on IGN...awesome. can't wait to get my hands on Crysis 2.

Well for me Crysis was a very boring game, I think that the best Crysis so far is Warhead that one wasn't boring it was fun actually, as for Crysis 2 i don't think that I will buy it if the review score is lower then 8.2, if it is a boring game then I will pass on this one

Do NOT bother requesting a trainer for this illegal release of the game (yes, you read that right, before anyone starts with any righteous speak; EA/Crytek don't condone this release). Wait for the final to hit. Besides, as far as I understand it, it's very, very unfinished (missing textures, text, crashes, limited settings etc).

There's also a rumour going around that it flags your system as having used a pirate copy, so that when you try and install/run the full version it won't play ball. Don't know what truth there is to this, but why risk it.
