Yeah you can go on about protecting that artist but the reason I'm asking is not over that issue...but iTunes has tools built into the program to get rid of it.
Isn't that kind of defeating the purpose?

Seeing the title I was prepared to post on how to get rid of it. But yeah real smart move there apple.
Trust is a fragile thing. Once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Those we're closest to can betray us,and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves. It really is the simplest way to keep from getting burned.

It's probably a legal thing. They just want to cover all their bases.
