The entire purpose of the discussion is whether or not Bethesda decides Steam Cloud connectivity and whether or not Bethesda has control over whether you get Steam achievements as a result.

They do. They said so on their forums and on their blog.

And your response is a page long complaint that I said developer.

    That's arguing semantics.

(Bethesda developed the engine and the in house GECK tool. Bethesda is also handling most of the post-release patching. I can call them the developer as a result. Cry about it if you want.)

From Bethesda's forum moderator. But yes, i'm sure Steam shut down the entirety of the Steam Cloud for everyone everywhere because of just this game. nahhh jk Bethesda disabled it.

Why do you need to argue semantics? Is that how you get your jollies?

Why don't you read the Bethesda developer blog or tech support developer sticky announcements to realize that I am right when it comes to who decides Steam Cloud connectivity and then come back to me.

You seem to be ignoring warnings from moderation staff via PMs so I will have no choice but to warn you publically. We do not appriciate this kind of tone on the forums regardless of who starts it. If you cannot peacefully disagree with someone else's post, don't post at all. If it is out of line then mark it for moderation (Report Post).

This goes the same to many other users here.

Where does it say it dude?? You posted a reference where Steam Cloud caused saves to crash. The obvious fix was that the saves are now local to the PC user instead of saved on Steam. Go look up patch fixes for Vegas and you'll see. But what does that have to do with your claim that Bethesda connects to the user for achievements and updates regarding Vegas?? I'll tell you, absolutely nothing. Show me where you claim is real and Bethesda is the one who connects to the game.

I haven't been able to find any specifics on what is getting fixed. The only notification I can find is that they released 2 PC patches already, but nothing about what they fixed in them.

Honestly, I'm probably going to return it because it's going to be half the price in a few weeks time, or I'll be able to pick it up used at the very least. Either way, I'll wait till they fix the major bugs that are causing me so much trouble, if they ever do, before I buy it again. This is not a game that really deserves my $60 considering all the bugs in it. When the bugs start interfering with my ability to play the game and complete quests and whatnot, that's when it crosses the line from inconvenient to outright horrible.

Sadly I love the game, and I'd be glad to just play it despite all the minor bugs and freezing, but that's not the case unfortunately.

I think on whether or not a person will like Fallout 3/Vegas depends on the following questions-
1)Do you like to explore a very large world or a small world?
2)Do you like a gradual build up to the fighting?
3)Can you handle the up and downs of a game that is fast paced one minute then is slowed down the next?
4)Can you devote time to quests that may take a long time in real time?
5)Do you prefer linear or non-linear gameplay?

If a person answers 'large world', 'non-linear', and yes to the questions then Fallout is a game for that person.

If a person answers 'small world', 'linear', and no to two or more of the other question then Fallout may not be the game for that person.
    . . .
    . .
    .
One last question and you'll be all set -
Did I just come up with a personality/skill test like in Fallout 3/Vegas games?
If Yes then are you a Fallout fan.
If No then you have no idea what this question is about.
