Call of Duty: Black Ops Message Board  

Sucks on how many people are haveing problems with this game. After spending $60 I'm just glad this game runs very smooth for me. I have Vsync on and only time I've bein under 60FPS is during SP cs's, but still not a big enough drop to lag. I do play with highest settings acept AAx4, which at 1920x1080 is plenty high enough. Hope a patch comes out soon for you people that have problems. I dont have any kind of great PC "well anymore" dont have a class of water siting anyplace near the the top of a HAF932 case, bad things can happen lol.

i couldn't even start it for more than a day. my ati drivers locked up every time. the solution for me was NET frameworks update (4), that solved the problem. I was close to eating the f*cking dvd. the game crashe EVERY time... now it just lags.

The first level lagged a little. After that it's been okay. My PC is kinda out of date. I have a Quad Core Processor, NVIDIA 9600 GT 512 mb, 4 gigs of RAM and running Windows 7. However, some of the textures or walls flicker a little bit when there's a lot going on. I have the game settings with Anti-aliasing off set at 1600*900....so not at max. I might try putting AA back on....the default settings were at 4x. Ehhh...we'll see. I haven't experienced any crashing.

I lulz @ activision and Treyarch. Playing this reminds me of running elder scrolls 3 on my old athlon xp. At first I was like hmm and then I was like TROLOLOLOLOLOL. I think COD:Black Cawks is nothing more than a troll against all of the fanboys and basement dwellers on /v/.

For some wierd reason, the SKIDROW release works fine. I just changed the dx level to 9 and set the graphics to medium. I really dont care about the game detail though. Hackers cant be chosers.

They need to start making games FOR pc, instead of doing half-baked ports, and stop catering to the so called "casual gamer" which is layman's terms for a complete ****ing idiot

i mean come on they make so much money off this series you'd think this crap wouldn't happen...

it's like im in a bad relationship and every time i try to break up i keep coming back for more, some1 just please put me out of my misery...

all i can say is at least they got dedicated servers in this one so i don't have to use 3rd party hosting tools just to play a troll/hack/tube free game

Hey for those of you with problems, you can do into the folder where the game is installed, then go into players and open config.cfg (and mp to solve some problems too).

Use Ctrl + F to find seta r_multiGpu and right next to it, multithreaded device. Set multi gpu to 0 unless your using more then one graphics card, then set it to one. The multithreaded device is if you are using more then one core (which is pretty much everyone, so probably keep that at 1).

Solved some problems for me, now it only lags a little.

My copy runs great, looks great and sounds great..... oh yeah I'm playing the 360 version, not knocking my fellow PC gamers either, but I got this game for the excellent online experience you only get with XboxLIVE. I hope they patch the game so PC gamers can finally start enjoying the game as much I am. As for the all the rough edges, I'm not surprised in the least, Treyarch has always played second fiddle to Infinity Ward when it comes to this franchise.
