ok i know its probably stupid question but where do u check which version u got , which patch installed etc ?

This game installs via STEAM so it should have automatically updated itself to the latest patch ( patch 6 as far as I know ) so you should need the latest trainer . Although you'll need to play in DX9 mode if you want to play with the latest trainer because the guys here haven't made a DX11 version for patch 6 ( yet . Not sure whether or not they will due to the nightmare in trying to get round all the anti-cheat stuff in this game ) . The game will still crash with the latest trainer whenever you unlock a new achievement due to said anti-cheat measures , but then once you have unlocked whichever acheievement it ' shouldn't ' crash at that same point again . I find it kinda ironic how many anti-cheat measures the game makers put in this game considering they also worked on the older versions of the Aliens Vs Predator games and they even had cheats built into the games themselves

so there is no clear way of checking the version of the game at all ? coz im not using the game via steam...

What is the ' last modified ' date on your AVP . exe ? Mine is 9th July and it's fully patched . Don't know if that will help you though .

mine says 17/02/2010 , file version says 1.0.0.0 so i guess it wasint patched at all right ?

Judging by the modified date it doesn't look like it . Have you tried installing any patches for it ?

nope i havent, and i got the retail trainer 2 work so woohooo ( game didnt crash even once so far )
