Depending on your morality both endings can be good for New Vegas. My first playthrough I went with a 'good' character who helped Mr. House achieve his ends. I decided "stuff it, I'm an enforcer for perhaps the most brilliant mind on the planet".

It actually paid off. He's not insane, he's the exact opposite, the most sane individual you'll encounter. He measures every situation and thinks of the best long-term result - having "lived" for as long as he has probably grants him a better understanding of long-term planning.

In the end? He rewards your service and pretty much considers you the best investment he's ever made. Almost as though you're his adopted son/daughter. It even goes so far as to hint that he respects the character upon game completion enough to heed your advice in matters of treatment of citizens.

I hope there's an expansion pack that allows you to play after the completion of the game and see the effects of your actions in the game world beyond slide shows.

There won't be. They've said that all DLC will take place BEFORE game completion, there won't be any DLC opening up content after main quest completes.

That doesn't mean that they wont make a patch OR incorporate a fix into the Downloadable content to open up game-play after the main quest!

(If enough people post on there website to make game-play after the main quest they will add it, they do have a commitment to delivering superior titles to gamers worldwide as does every other company!)

I've finished the game both with Yes Man and the NCR, and I have to say I actually prefer the NCR ending.

Sure, they're just another invading force taking over territories as their own under the light of democracy, but that seems much like modern day super-powers ;D

My actual point is that at least the NCR is open and honest about their plans. They want the territory and the strip is just another expendable resource. The Yes Man ending made me doubt my decisions by what he said. I admit it's open to interpretation, but to me he said once he finishes his upgrades the ****'s gonna hit the fan. I can't find myself looking forward to a completely AI-run/controlled New Vegas, even if it is independant.

Sorry for the double post, but I missed this one.

Originally, Bethesdont stated that FO3 would end at the ending, then they released Broken Steel some time later. I get the feeling that even though Obsidian says the same thing, that may very well change.
