First of, unique downloads aren't even 24k. And secondly, when you read the comments on it, you'll see quickly that many people download it to boost their performance, and not because they have gamebreaking issues.
I'm sorry that you're a blind fanboy and don't realize that there are 2 d3d9.dll fixes because it doesn't fix it for everyone.
And two, if you read the comments and are aware of the issue of "boosting performance", you'd know that playing a game at 4fps is a gamebreaking issue because this is an issue that carried over from Fallout 3.
In addition, since you are so quick to talk about reading the comments, you'd also know (from reading the comments that you claim you read!) that the one with 120k downloads only covers nVidia cards and that there is a second D3D9.dll fix for ATI users with an additional 9600 unique downloads.
What's up? Would you like to read the comments or the thread in the official Bethesda forums that explains exactly what the D3D9.dll file is for and what it fixes? After all, you like reading comments.
Here's a hint: People with modern video cards don't like having a game play at under 10 fps or not start at all.
But i'm not worried. You already knew this because you read the comments, right?
...Right?
Seriusly those with mordern cards are pritty much smack it up full graphics and lets see if we can break the games. I have a two year old lappy and it can run graphic hoggers perfectly fine. I never have glitches at all bar that one glitch on FNV. I live by a code never run on full! n Never attempt to break the games.

its the same code i live by and follow religiously even though i do have a pretty decent rig. i always keep my game in the comfort zone and usually never have a problem with FPSs save for some random glitches and bugs. FNV does have some issues but for me its been random...never a deal breaker.

I run it full on just because i can, not to break the game with my rig same as i did in fallout 3, and i have had minor issues due to a bug, mostly ive had issues with trainers or a mod, compared to other games where ive had a ****load of errors includeing mirrors edge and also different MMO's and such Fallout 3 and New vegas have been flawless for me.
Ive been very fortunate with Fallout 3 since majority of people having issues say it is nearly every one, who experience crashes constantly and heads spinning around, call me a fan boy all you want but how can i say it has bugs when ive not seen them.

is anyone else here as disappointed in the PC games they put out. Once again Fallout New Vegas could have been a top notch game. But it has to many bugs. Anyone get missions that you cannot finish because of the game? yea yea I know use console to restart mission but then it crashes any way. Does anyone else get random crashes or old saves that will not work no matter what? Because of the dam saved game crashes I had to restart 3 times. Enough is enough there should be lemon laws for PC games. then again if they did they would never sell a game any way.
Am shocked that there are tones of people having issues. I even asked my buds at gameanyone and most are getting slight glitches. Like me I get slight glitches here and there but nothing that is serious. I love this game and it is certinly another GOTY in my books
Yeah I feel the same way, the only real glitch I've come across is the rad scorpions under the map. I'm glad I spent the money on it as I have many quality hours of gaming out of it, and probably many more.
