cant get the console to come up...

    Regarding the Cheats & Hints.

    I'm playing the steam version of the game and I can't get the console to come up with ~. Anyone have advice???

    That's strange that you cant get the console to come up. Since all versions of this game are basically steam versions. i never had any problem getting the console to come up. are you running it in admin mode? if you are using win7 it might be the security settings. I run using xp and i have no problem with the console. i have heard that having the program installed in the program section for win 7 can cause problems.

    Are you using a Xbox controller. If yes then you cant use the keyboard very much.

    I found that depending on your screen res the console is hidden way to the left out of view

    Can't bring up my console too. In Fallout 3 i had the same problem but still sometimes the '~' key worked, but on Fallout: NV i can't in my laptop. Got Windows Vista if someone could help i would appreciate it. Thanks

    try this.

    Right some foke might be having issues trying to the the console of on there laptops here is what to do.

    Step 1: Go to your control pannel.

    Step 2: Click on the Device Manager.

    Step 3: Look for the human interface devices and expand that.

    Step 4: Look for the ITECIR and right click and uninstall it. Then play your game.

    no need to UNINSTALL it you can disable it...this way theres no need to reinstall the driver if you need to use it...works perfectly tho alsome post
