I think the main reason the devs dont want to have a continue play is because of the massive changes that take place after the end of the MQ. It would almost have to be another game entirely. Especially if you do all of the SQ's. That's just my opinion tho. Also some of the devs were involved in the original games and i think they wanted to remain true to the original games. Again just my opinion.
