I'm running the Directors Cut Enhanced version of the game with the 1.5 trainer. I haven't tried all of the functions, but two that I have tried don't seem to do anything. Those two are the Pause Monster function and the remove drunken effects function. These are also the only two functions not on numerical keys, which may not mean anything. Pushing either of these keys gets no response at all. All of the other keys I've used result in an audio cue from the trainer and something changes in the game. It may not be immediately visible but something happens. Not with / or *. Am I doing something wrong?

Not a clue. I was actually hoping for answer from the folks who wrote the thing. As you can see, that didn't happen. I will say that after a little more practice with the game, I didn't need the trainer, but it still would have been nice to get a reply. By the way I'm running Win XP, so I don't think OS is a factor.

You have to remember the Gold version was a re-release of the game, and its been re-released twice. No doubt a 3rd time due to the sequel coming out.
So each time there may have been different executables involved which in turn won't work with the trainer even if it supposedly the same version of the game (in terms of patched up)
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

I'm using the Enhanced Edition (Directors Cut is US-only I'm pretty sure - the only difference between the two is the inclusion of nudity on the collectable cards in the DC version, because it was originally cut for US audiences ;P) and the trainer works fine for me.
Make sure you've followed the troubleshooting guide. OS has never factored into the operation of a trainer in my experience.
