i have to talk to ranger grant in this mission. however whenever i go up to him all he says is that

i have to talk to ranger grant in this mission. however whenever i go up to him all he says is that they have no time and have to hurry. and then he just says goodbye. But hes supposed to let me in on whats goin on cause the colonel told me to report to him. I think its a glitch or something. Does anyone know what to do? please help me.
