Fallout: New Vegas Message Board  

Hi all!

Don´t know if it is a bug or something else, but every time I come closer to the town of Primm, my character dies. It is weird, the game just hangs on for few sec and then shows me animation of my char dying in explosion without head. Then load and if I go again closer to the town, the game completely freezes.

My PC meets all the reqs, I have the 2nd patch and I am playing on hardcore mode. Any ideas what could be the problem?

well did u use the bridge in the middle? well they are still some mines maybe u should try to deactivate them, or well use the TGM Cheat at the console

Thx for advice. Tried using the tgm command, same as without it, my char just dies in explosion. I am 100% sure there are no mines or I cant see them. But it can be bug, because I encountered some geckos that were stuck in rocks or under the terrain. The game is so bugged that I havent seen such in long time. I am now trying to reinstall it with default settings. Will see if it worked.

Did you loot any convict with dynamite in his hands? maybe it was long fused? maybe it exploded inside your inventory? Happend to me

I threw all dynamite away from my inventory. But the problem remains. Dont have any else explosives or grenades. Tried to get to the city from the right side where is the mountain side with rocks. At certain point my char dies or the game crashes

As I said, its very strange bug. It could be the version of my game. In czech rep the game was distributed by cenega and as far I can see after the reinstall, the game wont patch through steam

Will try to play in czech language and without any patch to see if it works.

But when I installed it in eng, the patch downloaded.

I reinstalled both steam client and the game and choose czech language. And now it runs ok and the problem is gone

And I can use the trainer as well.

The game wont patch, but at least I can play it. Thx for all replies.

have you checked if you are poisoned or have some internal bleeding? Try this before you approach the city. Use a doctors Bag. Stimpack yourself and use purified water with some beef/other food. Then a Rad away. Either that or disable momentary the Hardcore and save your game in the same spot you died or close to it.

Close the game (Exit to windows) Run the shortcut in the desktop. and load the last save BUT WITHOUT PRESSING CONTINUE!!! go to LOAD screen!
And try this with your trainer off. If everything ok move ur char and save (IN ANOTHER SLOT) and quit the game (same as before) Run trainer Run Game Have Fun Hope it helped

this isn't a prim bug, it to has happen to me it happen as soon after making character at the doc's house in goodsprings i walked out the door and bang off goes my head. at first i thought i got shot by sniper but i just started the game no enemies around so reloaded and same thing happened i had inf health on from CH's trainer and then i typed in tgm and i didnt blow up that time and then another time it did it to me was before i walked into the quarry to take out the deathclaws and the last time was on the outskirts of prim. so you see it isnt a prim bug its a freakin GAME BUG.

Or it is do to cheating some how to many items or over pumped up stats something like that might be causing it to. So now I SAVE every 5 minutes. lol
