Fallout: New Vegas Message Board  

I'm making this thread so we can all (or someone) can post where you can get playerhouses. To find the best or most luxurious one of course! If you know where they are, post them here and if needed, explain what you need to do to get them and IF you can have or own all of them.

Alternately, i assume you can use the old fallout 3 code to put ownership on ANY suite or whatnot. even possibly to own a whole building. Is this possible, can anyone confirm?

Being only roughly 7 hours into the game, the only house I know of is the hotel room you can buy in novac.

I should have added "spoilers" in the thread title so we can speak openly about it.

First off. I have the official strategy guide, and under certain places. Such as the ultra-luxe hotel or something, it has tags in the book like "home sweet home" or the other term i forget, which means you can rent a room.

I assume home sweet home means you can perminently own certain places under specific circumstances..

PLEASE NOTE. THE NOVAC HOTEL IS BY NO MEANS PERMINENT. ANY room you rent is not perminent. I have several confirmations by other people on the net that you store stuff there, it will dissapear!

If you guys like, I can track down in my guide all the player houses you can buy and tell you how to get them. Would that be of help to the community?

write the guide... post it... then yes it will help... until then... 22nd 22nd 22nd 22nd!!!! 23hours and some nasty minutes...

After searching the OFFICAL FALLOUT NEW VEGAS GUIDE, I have compiled a full list of what your player homes are and where you can find them. This is NOT a spoiler because I'm not saying how you get them.

Player homes: The Offical Ones that you can OWN perminently. Not rest areas like sleeping quarters.

*Followers Safehouse - Northwest Mountains

Atomic Wrangler - Comped Suite - Freeside

Lucky 38 Casino - Presidential Suite - New Vegas Strip

The Tops Casino - Presidential Suite - New Vegas Strip

Ultra-Luxe Casino - Penthouse - New
Vegas Strip

Brotherhood of Steel Safehouse - NorthEast Territories

Victor's SHack - GoodSpring - Southwest Desert

Caesar's Legion Safehouse - East Cliffs and South Rad Zoned

Note - Some of these are OFFICAL safehouses, however the rest are ones of which you can steal, buy, or earn the keys via quests.

Note - IMPORTANT: It MAY be possible (need to confirm) that you can own ANY building or structure as well as any item via the Fallout 3 code "setownership". To use this code, click the tilde key for the command console ----> ~ <----- and then enter the code. Ensure you have clicked on the building or door/item of the structure or item itself. A number or code will show up at the top of your screen. This is the same way you'd unlock a safe or something by clicking the safe or whatnot and using the "unlock command".

Now it MAY be possible to do this and hence if you own the building or room, ANY of them, your stuff will remain safe. I would advise if you want a room or building that is NOT abandoned, you steal the key or kill for it, then use the setownership command code.

Let me know what you guys think, I believe it is possible to at LEAST own several of these places without the need for the code.

I will note I neglected ANY buildings where you can sleep for free or rent a room.

Not a big surprise for me, I got the whole Lucky 38 Casino after I offed Mr. House.
