Do you think that by using the item codes, that they will disbale the steam achievments?

Yep it's been posted on here and lots of other sites dedicated to the game that said if you use any of the cheats your achievements get disabled...

Where are you finding item codes? The only 1 i know is for caps.

pretty much everything works from fallout 3, there are a few changes and some items not on the list, but the brats that know it are silent :P

Theres a full list of codes in the Misc section which includes all the new gear as well as the exsisting codes from FO3 that still work (apart from the weapon mods, unless I missed them..)

and as far as I can tell using the spawn code hasnt effected my achievements so far, I'm still gaining them, onces assuming its just if you use stuff like god mode... rather than an item spawn.
