Seconded. I CAN always ask my friend at Valve, but I'm quite certain they have a file within the .ESM's of Fallout which notify steam once you activate the code...im just wondering if it turns off ur achievements forever? doubt it.

Reminds me a lot about GTA IV for Steam + Windows Live

I hope it doesn't disable all achievements forever... I doubt it though. It probably is relevant to the save file itself.. thankfully i saved before i tested the cheats.

Either way... I'm 110% sure the trainer will be my work around for this. Once I get all the achievements on 1st play through I will go back and have fun properly.

Zatch why didn't you preload the game? I had it ready to play once it was released on steam.

achievements are no big deal to me, unless they offer some sort of benefit, its just fluff.

hopefully they come out with a trainer for this one, im sure it will take a little bit. the trainers here are top notch, only once have i had issues with em. (that was due to my own stupidity lol)

thanks for the info about the codes though, if the old ones work then we should be good to go. I myself dont want to cheat for a while. heheh.

Question, you said the console would disable achievements, did you discover whether it permanently did or just for that save? Curious.

I don't care of achievements when I cheat in-game, if I want them for pure bragging rights then I will start a clean toon and use that one only just for this purpose.

Seems silly to me to want to get achievements when you cheat in-game
