Call of Duty: Black Ops Message Board  

i do not really like this cod game compared to waw or modw2

I'll agree with you there, after beating the campaign on the second day I promptly returned the game. The story is awesome, the best of any Call of Duty games I've seen. But there are just so many letdowns that weigh down the entire game.
Audio (5/10) - More focus was put on low-quality echoes than actual weapon fire. It seems that each weapon has a generic N64 sound.
Graphics (4/10) - Constantly seeing a character's hand go through his weapon during cut-scenes is unacceptable of a big-budget game in 2010.
Gameplay (6/10) - Great storyline, but the fun stopped there. The game is extremely boring during the first few missions, especially when you don't even have control of your character during the basic times (ie: walking from here to there during the limousine scene). Whenever you encounter an enemy vehicle, it literally explodes after a handful of shots. I'm not sure how that was even allowed to be accepted into the game, vehicles shouldn't just explode after two rounds from a LMG


All in all: Buy Black Ops when it's $20. Until then, know you're not missing much. I'll give it a generous 5/10, only because of the good plot.

I give it a 9.8/10. Just because i beat it in 2 days as well. The storyline is awesome, and i love the blood and gore that MW2 didn't have.The Zombies are good to have back, but it is allot harder than the original, but still a great game

i hate black ops

call of duty black ops is very very good game.
i love it forever.
because is gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood.

You completely forgot to mention the multiplayer part of the game. which is the biggest reason to even buy the game. if you're going to review a game then review the game with all its components.

Black ops is amazing. I think that Treyarch could have done allot better with the campaign. They really needed to make it longer. As for the Multiplayer, it's fun. I have just started back on it and it's great, much better then MW2. Can't wait for MW3 this summer.
