Has anyone else encountered a massive slowdown in late game? Not only that, but my status as a Great Power is extremely variable, as my army strength continually goes up, to the point where it enters negative (thus stripping me of Great Power status), gradually going back into positive and letting me be a Great Power once again.

Two problems that I have encountered, neither necessarily related to the trainer (possible having too many troops can cause both the slowdown and the constant changing of my army strength - even when I'm not building any more troops it continues to increase). Anyone else?

All the Europa Universalis-esque games have massive slowdown in the late game, someone coined a term for it but I don't remember.
