Nothing is wrong with the game's save system if you don't use the unlimited weight cheat. This has been written on another forum:
"I have also created a cheat option for "Unlimited energy for wanzer equipment".
I have made it to be able to pack as many weapons as You want without the energy limit. However I found out that if I do this, the game will not load my save game any longer and I have to restart the whole game. Therefore I do not post this option and it will not be added. Btw. I found out that trainers which has this option also causing the same error. So beware if You temper with Your wanzers energy limit for equipments."
So I didn't cheat with the weight and my savegame is just fine, even if I used every other kinds of cheat.
Now don't flame me because of that, but I am using a cr*ck*d version as you will see it from my savegame's place.
It is stored in Documents and settings\Name\LocalSettings\Application Data\SKIDROW\SAVES\43000 directory.
It is a hidden directory. I found it by starting the game then changing my mech, saving and search for files that were changed in the past 5 minutes in documents. I have unlimited money and all levels. How can I post the file? Upload it here or somewhere else and post link? I don't know the rules.

Submit cheats top right hand have to let CH do it. Just explain how to change the file out and they will post it with the Trainers or other cheats. It even has a place where you can upload the file.

Yea 30 minutes of hunting and i still cant find the save folder to place this save game in... im on windows 7 64 bit if that makes a difference
Try it my way. You don't need any special program for that. I am using Total Commander as file manager. Go in game, do something that will cause it to save changes, like customize your wanzer or finish a short level and search for files in documents folder that has been changed recently. There is an option for that when you search for files in Total Commander.

I am wondering can you give an example for the foldername? I had searched the whole Appdata in window 7 can't find any saves for it. BTW i am using Steam.
