Unfortunately Google searches throw up nothing in relation to the location of the save game files. I'm going to have a look and see if there is an official Square Enix FM Evolved message board for support. Perhaps there will be further information there.

After playing last night with no crashing, I thought, "Hey, guess I did everything right!" Wrong - start up today with that corrupt save message. I chose to contine without overwriting my save and I am glad I did. Basically, these trainers just change the value of certain variables in the games code, and when the game saved with the Unlimited Weight code active it saved that value, lets call it 0000000A. When I started up with the trainer active and without Unlimited Weight active, it saw a value of 0000ABCD which didn't match the code from when it saved. Now I was just using those hex values as examples but basically I started up Front Mission, activated the trainer and hit Numberpad 7, THEN proceeded past the starting screen. Problem solved, my game save is fine because it now sees everything the way it should be.
So, tl;dr version: before you go past the start screen try to activate the codes you had on when autosave kicked in. Hope this helps.

As I posted elsewhere, just go into your options to the controls section, and restore them to default.
