Please help on Mafia II PC Message Board - Page 1

I get this error whenever I try to play Mafia II
"Signal input out of range".
I can hear game sounds but I can't see anything but the said error thingy...

Cheat Happens - Game Cheats, Codes and Wallpapers

AGE: 18

(If I'll be banned, could You please send me a warning first before doing so?)
(And tell me what I've done wrong as well)

goto: c:\users\\appData\Local\2K Games\Mafia II\Saves\videoconfig.cfg

Delete that file and everything should be ok

Thats somthing to do with graphics I think. I remember somthing like that years ago.

Yeah it has to do with his monitor and the resolution at which the game starts, the game probably starts a too high resolution or a to high hertz.

I think so too.. So you experienced that error, or whatever that is, as well but for me, this is the first time so I had no idea about it

Um, I removed that file.. but when I run Mafia II, the error thingy still shows up. next thing I knew, the videoconfig.cfg is still in that location. Seems it can reincarnate LOL

Try changing the file with notepad to:

0 0 800 600 0 0 0 1

Maybe this will help you.
