I got this game primarily for the single player, I was never really that into the Call of Duty multiplayer (I was a Battlefield fps person), so this review is based primarily on the Special Ops and Campaign portions of the game.I liked the story line and thought a lot of it was written extremely well, however, it was quite short and I could have beaten the campaign in one sitting had I wanted to. Parts of it didn't make sense on how it would have been possible for certain parts of the story to play out. As far as graphics and sound go the game was a major let down overall. It still only uses DX10 and is basically Modern Warfare 2 graphics that are now 2 generations behind. The guns don't sound realistic to me and I have fired a majority of those weapons and had several fired at me as I am a US Veteran. But the game isn't all bad news. The multiplayer isn't half bad, it has some nice new maps and the weapon perks are a new twist to the game. With that being said I feel that this should have been an expansion release and not a full fledged title. I with therefore call this game Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.5 I am also now refusing to purchase another Infinity Ward FPS unless it is built from the ground up and not just taking from their previous successes.
