Sadly, both mine and Bok_Choy_Tang's AP trainers do not work because the address for AP changes every time you load the game. For anyone wanting to change their AP you'll have to find the address yourself using Cosmos or wait until someone with more trainer knowledge makes a functional one.

Made a new version of the script.
Now you can change the energy value without changing the script itself. (Thanks to 0x90 for teaching me how)
Instructions are the same as before.
P.S. Yes, I'm aware there is a working trainer for this game. This script is not meant to compete or to protest. I am simply practicing script making, and I might as well publish it if it's working.

Yes, you need to store the value using a symbol and register this symbol so it becomes global. Always remember to unregister the symbol on disable section and never register two symbols with the same name.
I've attached an example script. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Are you talking about xliveless or (Windows /x)live ?
Windows Live alias xlive contains protection against debugger/memory script and was used by some games. There are a couple of ways to disable it. The easiest way is simple script I've attached for you.
Xliveless is a plugin for GTA which disables xlive and allows plugins/mods to work correctly. No idea why it should prevent cosmos from working.
