Freezing Water?
The movie takes place in the Bering Sea off the coast of northern Alaska. The water in the Bering Sea is a few degrees above freezing year round due to the arctic water currents. At the end of the movie when the ship sinks, Epps (Julianna Margulies) is left clinging to a piece of wood in the water, wearing nothing more than a halter top and pants, for days until a cruise ship picks her up. At that water's temperature, she should have lived for about 5 minutes until dying of hypothermia.
Locket Timeframe?
In the scene where Epps (Julianna Margulies) is in the hallway making her way to the little girl's room, if you look closely, you can see that she is wearing the locket that she finds in the little girl's room moments later.
Ending Explosion
At the end, there is an explosion large enough to destroy and sink an entire ocean liner, but Epps (Julianna Margulies), who was sitting right next to where the explosion went off, not only lives, but is virtually unharmed?
How Did They Find Her?
One of the plot points of this story is that the Ghost Ship was never found before because it was out of the shipping lanes and traveling in a loop near some rocks. Yet, Epps (Julianna Margulies) is discovered by a cruise ship after, at most, only a few days. They didn't find this massive boat over the course of several decades yet they find her in this short period of time?
