Actually, aside from Retail versions, CH makes trainers for Steam the most when trainers cant be used on steam and retail versions.
Im betting the majority of the ppl that pay for service on here uses Steam more so then retail or any other digital download service

Dont need to take a Poll.
Visit the trainers section for the most popular games within the past 1-2 years and youll see for yourself.

Ok calm down kiddiewinkles.
Most of the games released the last 2 years have had a trainer done that will work with the Steam versions also.
As for this older trainer for Star Wolves it was done by a group called PizzaDOX, nothing to do with CH at all, and the trainer was done for version 1.0 of the game. But it does run on Vista and 7 OS's.
Since 2006 there has been a couple of re-releases of the game with the latter twice being patched, which would make that older trainer not work at all.
But why they delete themselves on your OS may come down to your AV auto removing them without warning because of the way they are packed, on AVG it says there is something strange by the way it is packed but you can ignore that or add the file to the exception list and it will run.
