Red Alert 2:Yuri's Revenge Walkthrough...Soviet Mission written by Teslagod2003 e-mail: teslagod2003@yahoo.com Table of Contents ------------------- 1 - Soviet Mission Introduction 2.1 Time Shift 2.2 Deja Vu 2.3 Brain Wash 2.4 Romanov On The Run 2.5 Escape Velocity 2.6 To The Moon 2.7 Head Games 2 - Soviet Mission Conclussion 3 - Acknowledgements ------------------------------------ 1 - Soviet Mission Introduction ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ the soviets have lost the war,what a tragedy for mother russia.Worst yuri is on loose and have built his own psychic enhanced armies.Threatening the world with his demonic psychic dominator.The allies,however,have deviced a plan to alter the this course,by going back in time,using Prof.Einsteins new toy...the time machine.Primier Romanov as well wants to alter the course of history.So,you must steal the time machine and go back in time.This way,yuri can be stopped from his menace...and also to assure soviet victory.If you'ved played allied missions,you'll realized that the soviet missions are alot tougher than that of the allies.this is due to some soviet loses in units and structures,though there are some addition.it really seems unfair for the soviets to lose any units nor structures while the allies lost none and gained additional units and structure.i'ved said that because i like using soviets more than the allies myself.i think you'll easy realized why,since my nickname is the teslagod.yeah,tesla power supreme.....hehehe.now let's go to the missions... 1.1 Time Shift ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Objectives: a.Destroy the allied navy and grand cannons b.Destroy the pillboxes around the time machin to capture it c.Capture 4 civilian power plants to power time machine d.Take control of the soviet base and use it to destroy the psychic dominator As the mission starts the allies attacks the psychic dominator...but at no success.this gives the soviets a chance to sneak up and steal the time machine and use it to alter the terrible future of the soviet empire. At first,your task is to take out the allied navy and shore defense...grand cannons...so that the soviets can transport a force to take the time machine and go back in time.your navy should have no problem taking out the allied navy.start attacking by using the 2 squids to grab 2 destroyers and your subs should take out the other destroyer,while your dreadnaught should pound the 2 grand cannons.then take out the 2 aircraft carrier.when the allied navy and grand cannons are destroyed,you'll lose battle control for a minute,then 4 amphibius transport would arrive and unload your force at the shore.your force contains 4 rhino tanks,4 flak trucks,5 tesla troopers,3 dogs,3 engineers,some conscripts and boris.boris will be introduced.boris is the soviet's finest.he can take out infantries and tanks with an ease plus he has full authority to call in an air strike(of migs). Your task is to take out the defenses(pillboxes) around the time machine and capture enough power plants to charge the time machine.instead of taking the time machine quickly,take some power plants first,to ease your way in this mission. Now move west,where you'll find a civillian power plant,take out the guardian GIs with boris.then grab the power plant with an engineer.leave the tesla troopers to guard the power plant.now move south,take out the resistance and grab the power plant with an engineer.leave the rhino tanks to guard.continue moving south,if there's any resistance take them out,boris should be able to take care any resistance in this mission.grab the first power plant you'll encounter.leave it alone,for now.continue on moving south,then east,where you'll encounter some allied GIs and guardian GIs,take them out with boris.don't enter the area,yet.move a bit north,where you'll find a couple of pillbox,keep away from it and have boris call an air strike to take the 2 pillbox.move east,take out any resistance with boris.have the flak trucks run into the fence,then send your conscripts to garrison the building inside,then take out the patriot missile systems around.have boris call an air strike to take out the other patriot missile system.then call an air strike again,this time take out all 4 pillboxes around the time machine.once done,you'll be tasked to capture power plants to charge the time machine.and group of engineers will be paradropped for you to use to capture power plants,but since you already have 3 power plants,you'll only need 1 more,there's one easy to take,west of the time machine,since you have taken out the resistance there.have an engineer capture the tech machine shop first.this tech building will aalow your all vehicles to auto repair(air,land or water).then grab the last power plant you need at the west.then,you'll be time shifted back.you'll gain additional troops,but unfortunately the soviet engineers increased the efficiency of the power plants too much,you time shifted into very past.you have to wait for few minutes to time shift again,you'll be attacked with dinosaur(t- rex) here.keep all your troops together near the time machine,except boris.move boris on a position where he can take out any incoming dinosaurs...its northwest near(just near not into the tree itself) a tree nearest to the time machine,there are 2 you'll find,but pick the most north of the 2...just wait,then you'll be time shifted again. Now your task is to take control on the soviet base and destroy the psychic dominator.you'll be able to take control of the soviet base once you reached it,they'll turn over the control into you.1st,take out any allied resistance near the time machine.then grab the tech machine shop with an engineer.you'll only need the rhino tanks and boris,leave the rest of your forces where they at.move the rhino tanks and boris northwest,once you find the soviet base,you'll gain control over it.build some sentry guns to defend your base.then move your tanks northeast,where you'll encounter 2 allied grand cannons,a yuri gattling cannon and some yuri lasher tanks.destroy it all with your rhino tanks,if you lose all your rhino tanks and there's still some enemies on that area(where the grand cannon and gattling cannon is at) build more rhino tanks and have them take care of the remaining enemies on that are.once the area is cleared,send boris and the amphibius transport on that area.then put boris on the amphibius transport and move to alcatraz island,where the uncomplete psychic dominator is.then unload boris,have him take out any resistance.then have boris call an airstrike to take out the uncomplete psychic dominator.mission is complete. 1.2 Deja Vu ~~~~~~~~~~~ Objectives: a,destroy the outposts guarding the german border b.destroy einstein's laboratory and chronosphere device Primiere Romanov has now learned about the dark and terrible future of the soviets.and he asks you to go to germany and destroy einstein's laboratory and his chronosphere device. This mission is kinda familiar.actually it's same as the allied mission 10 at Red Alert 2.but this time you'll play it on the other side,the soviet side(since your playing soviet,duh).this will be long and tough.you have to destroy the 3 allied outposts gurading the german border then establish your base and destroy professor einstein's laboratory and his chronosphere device. When you gain battle control,quickly destroy the 3 german outposts.have the V3 launchers target the barrels,then when there's only few left,have the rhino tanks rush in and destroy the rest.once all 3 outposts destroyed move your all forces to your forces at the center.then you'll be reinforced with an MCV.deploy it and quickly build up your base.also there are 2 crates where you just destroyed the central outpost,take it and you'll get a cash bonus.just hold tigh and make a good base defense.you'll be troubled by units being chronosphered in your base,quickly take them out as soon as they appeared on your base.you have flak trucks that contains 3 conscripts,a dog and an engineer each.don't unload the units inside the flak trucks.have 1 of them move to the very northwest.then move south,you'll find a tech outpost here.unload the units inside that flak truckand have the engineer grab the tech outpost while the conscripts garrison 1 of the houses around.then build a war factory and a refinery.then put up defenses here.then continue building up your base(doesn't matter where you put the other structures).when you built a battle lab,you'll be introduced to your new structure,the industrial plant.this structure cuts the prices of your units being produce by the war factory.which should quicken your vehicle production.then build some additional units for base defense.now,your goal is to build a force of 6 kirovs,which should be built at your war factory where the tech outpost is at.when you have 6 kirovs already,have them move south,ignoring any attacks.your goal is to have the kirovs destroy the einstein lab and his chronosphere device.when you have destroyed both structures...mission is complete. 1.3 Brain Wash ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Objectives: a.Destroy psychic beacon b.Destroy the psychic dominator c.Finish off yuri's forces With the destruction of the allies' secret research,they lost hope and have surrendered.now they can help us(the soviets) for the war against the traitor yuri. Yuri has a psychic dominator on london,the primiere wants you to destroy it before yuri could react. The mission starts with the briefing.you'll be informed that the allies here were controlled by yuri with his psychic beacon.if you can destroy it,they will help you and follow your orders on fighting yuri. This mission is quite easy.first put all of your conscripts in the amphibius transport.but let them stay near your barracks for awhile.send boris into the bridge at the northeast near your position.have boris take out the grizzly tanks around.you have 2 engineers,build 2 more.then put them on 1 flak truck.then move that flak truck south,then east.continue moving till you can find a unowned allied refinery.then grab it with 1 of your engineers.move boris and your rhino tanks in this area.the build 5 conscripts.and have them garrison 1 of the building just northeast of your tesla reactor.i suggest you pick the center 1 that is near the bridge.you can also garrison all of those buildings,you must repair some of them with an engineer,though.then move boris a bit northeast of the refinery,you'll find yuri's grinder,bio reactor and 2 yuri gattling cannons.there's 2 oil derricks here,too.have boris take out the 2 gattling cannons with the mig airstrike.be aware of any yuri units that may attack boris while he's pointing the target for the airstrike.if there's any yuri unit around,have boris take it out first then target the gattling cannon.then have boris call in an airstrike to take out the grinder.when the grinder is taken out,a crate will appear.grab it and you'll gain cash bonus.yuri mostly sell off the bio reactor in here.if he didn't,have the rhino tanks take it out.or you could also capture it with an engineer.then grab the 2 oil derricks with your engineers.then move boris and your rhino tanks northeast,where you'll find a bridge.move in there and take out any yuri gattling tanks and lasher tanks in the bridge.then just have boris and your rhino tanks stay in the bridge.then build another engineer and 10 conscripts.move them to the bridge where boris is at.there's a garrisonable building at the center of the bridge,repair the other building(because it's damaged) and garrison it with your conscripts.then move boris and your rhino tanks south of this garrison buildings...in other words,move them back on this protection...then move boris back to your barracks.then move him to the nearest bridge northeast of it.then move your amphibius transport in this bridge.when it pass over the bridge,move it east,to keep away from allied assault.then continue moving north then west,ignoring any assault,till you can get into the building at the nearest north of the psychic beacon.when you reach that area,quickly unload the conscripts and have them garrison that building north of the psychic beacon.then take out the psychic beacon.once the psychic beacon is destroyed,yuri loses control over the allies.and the allies turn to your side.the you'll lose control for few minutes.tanya will arrive and go to tent to make contact with you,she'll tell you that they'll follow you in battle against yuri.then liutenant sofia shall inform you of tanya's ability.your map would also enlarge and you'll also be able to build tesla tanks.as soon as you regain battle control,put tanya on the elite IFV.then move it and boris south,then to the bridge where your rhino tanks are at.then build about 6-8 tesla tanks.then have boris to destroy the gattling cannon near this bridge.then move north of the bridge.after you pass over the bridge,use your rhino tanks to pound the wall near the bridge.this will be your entrance to yuri's base.have tanya and boris stand as guard against any yuri tanks and infantries.when you already have the tesla tanks,send them where tanya and boris is at.then have all your tanks do the destruction of yuri's base.target bio reactors as much as you can.till you can get yuri's power down.when yuri's power is down,have the tesla tanks shoot take out the psychic dominator,since they can shoot over walls.when the psychic dominator is destroyed,yuri sells off everything.all you have to do now is take out all his remaining forces which he should muchly send over your base and on your troops in yuri's base.when all yuri's units and buildings are destroyed...mission is complete. 1.4 Romanov On The Run ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Objectives: a.Locate and protect primiere romanov b.Destroy yuri's base around the airport c.Take romanov to the airport once it is safe On his way back to moscow,primier romanov's plane was shot down over morocco.romanov lived and hides somewhere in the city.your task is to find him and protect him at all cost,then have him sent back to moscow. Though,the goal is to find and protect romanov,the airport/airfield is your concern.romanov won't be able to transport back to moscow as long as the airport is under yuri's control. You will be introduces to yuri's new soldier,the brute,some part early on the mission.these brutes are genetically enhanced soldier(which look like the incredible hulk,but this brute is colored grey) that has enormously powerful strength that can break any soldier or tank with an ease.this brute has 1 weakness,the brute uses his hands to break anything,which means this brute is very short ranged unite that needs to get close to its target.terror drones are pretty good units against these brutes. First,build up your base quickly.ring your base with sentry guns and battle bunkers then fill the bunkers with conscripts.you'll only need 1 refinery but you need 3-4 miners.don't build any units,yet,besides from attack dogs and terror drones(and the 3-4 miners).concentrate on building your base up to all buildings you can build as fast as you can.tesla coils are good defense specially against tanks,but you don't need to build tesla coils for some reasons...tesla coils are expensive,eats alot of power,and takes long to built.your base should be safe enough,if you have ringed your base with 4-8 sentry guns and 4-8 battle bunkers.then your base is pretty safe,built a force of 5 engineers(which should be putted inside the flak truck),1 flak truck,6 tesla tanks,4 apocalypse,6 V3 launchers and a couple of terror drones.then send send this force north,yuri has a cool base north of your base.when you see the oil derrick,park your force around the derrick and have the apocalypse take out the gattling cannons.when you see any yuri clones closing to your apocalypse,pull the apocalypse back and send the terror drones to take care of the yuri clones,then send the apocalypse again to destroy the gattling cannons.then enter the base and take out all of the gattling cannons in this base.and pay some attention on capturing the yuri barracks and yuri war factory,then make both these buildings your primary structure.the turn out more engineers to capture every building that can possibly be captured.you should have a power and cash excess,now is the time to build tesla coils.put tesla coils where the yuri gatling cannons where placed.and if you feel that sentry guns are needed,the put some also(which i doubt needed at all).build a couple of slave miner to help your cash income.also take the oild derrick south of this base with an engineer. Primier romanov is on the southeastern area of the map.on a building that has red roof.if you want to get him already,make the barracks and war factory at your southwestern base.then turn out a force of 1 flak truck(for the primiere's transport),6-10 brutes and 4 tesla tanks.then move this force slowly east.making sure that brutes take out any yuri clones and yuri infantries while the tesla tanks takes care of the rest.when you approach the building that has red roof,a movie should play but will not pause the game,so be alert on any incoming yuri units.once the primier shows up,put him inside the flak truck quickly and move these force(that includes primiere romanov) back to your southwestern base.you can do this anytime in the mission.you can replace the brutes with 4-6 terror drones.also,when you found premier romanov,you will gain access to the iron curtain device and you will be reinforced with 3 desolators and 2 crazy ivans to help protect the primier. Now,attention goes to the central area of the map where yuri has garrisoned buildings,1 barracks,4 gattling cannons and some of yuri's army moving.this area would be hard to clear out.have all your forces on your northwestern base added with 16-30 brutes,move west from this base.you'll find an oil derrick west of your northwest base,pasue your units here and take the oil derrick with an engineer.you have to think well on moving your units on the central part of the map,because yuri has his units moving from this area.then,send your attack force on the central area of the map from the north of it.when you approached the area have the brutes surround your units,the V3 lauchers should take out all garrisoned buildings(yuri's initiates will keep garrisoning every building they could garrison as soon as possible,be patient and take out as much as you can which will push the garrisons away from the bridge,that you may somehow see,if you have your spy plane uncover this area of the map,pushing to the airport),and the other guards and take out any yuri units around.clear out everything you wont need the yuri barracks,in this area.while you are doing all of this,build another 20-30 brutes.when the area is cleared,move the evry brutes you've got on the bridge and take out the 2 gattling cannons that you'll see(there are 2 psychic tower also but brutes are immune in mind control).you should move the V3 launchers as well on the bridge and have the V3 lauchers keep the gattling cannons busy firing on the V3 missiles while your brutes try to crush these 2 gattling cannons.build more infantries and tanks(doesn't matter which and how many just for additional force).then,move every units you've got(except the flak truck that has primier romanov inside) on yuri's base guarding the airport,doesn't matter if you destroy capture any building,just destroy the gattling cannons around the airport.once the airport is cleared,move the flak truck that has primier romanov inside on the airport and unload the primier then the mission should pause awhile and a nighthawk transport should pick up primier romanov...when the primier is transported....the mission is complete. 1.5 Escape Velocity ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Objectives: a.Pick a landing zone and construct a base b.Locate and destroy yuri's sub-pen Primier romanov is thankfull of your rescue but yuri is more devious,now.yuri is building fleet of boomer submarines.this can't be allowed to happen.yuri must be stopped from building these submarines.your task is to destroy yuri's submarine pen and shut down his facilities. When you have war factory and battle lab,you'll be introduce to the new soviet unit.the siege chopper.this is a fighting helicopter that has machine gun to fire on land,water or air units and buildings.plus when deployed,it releases a cannon on it's top and transforms into a powerful long range defense unit.though,they'll be vulnerable to mind control when deployed. This mission starts with you being briefed about the large island in the south pacific.you'll start on the very northeast of the map.while you'll be informed to pick a landing zone.there are 3 possible landing zones...one on the southeast of the island,one on the northwest of the island,and one on the northeast of the island.you should pick the northeast,since it's the closest to your current position.move with care,yuri has lots of boomer subs all over the water area of the map.move with the squids and attack subs on the lead to take out any boomer subs you'll encounter.then,quickly land the amphibius transports in the landing zone,once you'ved approached it. Now,set up your base and quickly build structures you can build.battle bunkers(garrisoned with conscripts) and sentry guns should be your primary defense.you don't need to build much of units,here,.except a couple war winers and conscripts to fill the battle bunkers.concentrate on defending your base.you are not gonna need a naval shipyard either.but you'll definitely lack in cash.the solution is around the island.there are lots of oil derricks all over the island.don't take the 1 south of your base and west of your base,the reason is that yuri has a small base that can easily take out these derricks.which will give another trouble defending.when you can,build 2 apocalypse tanks,2 engineers,2 tesla tanks,and 2 terror drones.when you have all these units,put 1 apocalypse tank,1 engineer,1 tesla tank,and 1 terror drone at the amphibius transport that you have.and put same units on another amphibius transport.now,you should have 2 amphibius transport that contains 1 apocalypse tank,1 tesla tank,1 engineer,and 1 terror drone.safely move 1 amphibius transport west,while the other southeast.dont forget to stay near the land and move on the water.when somehow a boomer sub attack the amphibius transport quickly move the amphibius transport in the land.then keep on moving.till you can reach the other 2 landing zone that was told you about before.when you reach the landing zone on the southeast,unload all units inside the amphibius transport.search around the area(southwest from the area) and you will see an oil derrick.blast the fence with either the apocalypse tank or the tesla tank,so that the engineer can capture the oil derrick.there may be some yuri units around,most likely the slave miner.have the apocalypse tank take out these yuri units.once you'ved taken the oil derrick,build an ore refinery and put it on this area.add up a war factory and barracks.then put up some defenses.do the same on the landing zone northwest,though it's more tight on this area than the southeast landing zone.back to your base,when you already have a nuclear reactor,now,you can build up tesla coils to add up on your base defense.then,put your attention again on the southeast landing zone,west of this area has 2 more oil derrick,besides from what you've taken already.build an engineer and capture these other 2 oil derricks.and build a couple of sentry guns and a couple of tesla coils to defend each oil derrick.add up 4-8 siege choppers to defend each oil derrick.now all you'll be doing is defending your bases and your positions.when you can build up an attack force 10-16 kirovs,which should be built on the southeast landing zone.then,when you have these attack force of kirovs,move these kirovs southwest.on the very some part,south of the submarine pen that was being pin pointed to you on the radar.and from there move the kirovs north ignoring any yuri units attacks on the kirovs.you may lose 2-4 kirovs but you must keep moving till the kirovs can realease the heavy iron bombs on the submarine pen.your mission is to destroy the submarine pen,when you'ved destroyed it,no matter how huge yuri's base still or how many units yuri still has...mission is complete. 1.6 To The Moon ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Objectives: a.Find a suitable location to build a base b.Locate and destroy yuri's lunar command center c.Destroy yuri's remaining forces When you destroyed yuri's submarine pen,there's a strange building...it happens to be an spacecraft lauching pad.and it's programmed to fly to the moon.primier romanov wants you to find out why.when you reached the moon,lt.sofia will inform you what is the spacecraft for.when yuri's psychic dominator network is activated,he and his army of clones will head up on this moon base.this base must be destroyed to prevent yuri from occupying this moon base again.your mission here is simply basically wipe out every building/structure that yuri has. On this mission,there are some differences from the other missions.1 is that you don't have much of an infantry besides from the cosmonauts and the desolator.there are some vehicles that you can't built,such as V3 launcher,kirov,etc.there's also nowhere to mine here.all you got is 70,000 credits.you must wisely use this money.yuri's infantries operates on the same limit.the cosmonauts are most likely a rocketeer in terms of abilities and immunity.the only difference is the weapon they use.cosmonauts uses a lazer beam to fire on its target. You will be intorduced to yuri's 3 new units,the floating disc,the magnetron and the mastermind.mastermind is a vehicle made to operate on the same purpose as the yuri clones,it can mind control as many as possible.though it has a weakness,when the mastermind mind control more than 5 units,it overloads and selfdestruct(got damaged as time passesby and may end up on selfdestruct) dramatically.magnetrons uses magnetic force/ray to pull any vehicles into it.a perfect combination with the mastermind.its magnetic force/ray can also damage structures/buildings.this magnetron has pretty good range which out range the allies' prism tank.and the most fearsome of yuri's invention,the floating disc.floating discs are capable of stealing cash on its enemy refinery,fire lazer beam on any unit(except the submerged units) and most devious of all...it can shut down the power input of its enemy base when it target its enemy power supplying structure. When you gain conrol of the game,quickly move all your units east of your current position.you'll find a much more suitable area to build you base.deploy your mcv some distance away from the american flag you'll see.then put up tesla reactor then barracks(build 15-30 cosmonauts as soon as you can and put up some sentry guns),then build war factory(build 4-6 rhino tanks and 6- 10 flak trucks),then radar dome,then another tesla reactor,then battle lab,then nuclear reactor(now its time to ring your base with tesla coils and flak cannons...about 4-6 tesla coils and 4-6 flak cannons),then industrial plant(now,build about 4 apocalypse and 6 tesla tanks).all of this will take you some time.just hold tight and use everything you can to defend your base and your position. Yuri has 2 small base here plus his huge base.yuri's huge base is in the very north of the map,on the entire north.his 2 small base are located on the very central west of the map and a little southeast of yuri's huge base.the central west base is the easiest to destroy because it is defended by a single gattling cannon on its middle and ringed by psychic towers.build about 10-15 cosmonauts.send them on the central west base of yuri,accompanied by all of your flak trucks and a couple of apocalypse tanks(these are units you already built as i have said on the paragraph above this one).use the cosmonauts to destroy the psychic towers,keep them away from the gattling cannon.this gattling cannon can be easily destroyed using your apocalypse tanks.the flak trucks should have no problem handling yuri's cosmonauts automatically,just position them well.this base should be easily destroyed.once this base is destroyed,a create will appear on this base,move a unit on it to grab the crate,it contains 5,000 cash.which is helpful for you.don't build anything.then move all your units back to your base.repair any flak trucks that are damaged.then when you are ready,send the same force you used to destroy yuri's cental west base,added with another 2 of the apocalypse tanks and 6 tesla tanks you already have,north to the base southeast of yuri's huge base.this base should not be hard to destroy.it is ringed with gattling cannons and a single psychic tower in the middle of this base.on this base,your apocalypse tanks should have no problem taking out the gattling cannons ringing the base.your cosmonauts should destroy the psychic tower while your apocalypse tanks destroy the gattling cannons.don't worry if you lose any of your cosmonauts.the flak trucks should stand guard against any of yuri's cosmonautswhile the tesla tanks take out any incoming vehicles that yuri sends to reinforce this base.it's only a matter of time and this base should be destroyed soon and you'll take another crate with 5,000 cash.don't pull any of unit anymore,instead build any additional units you may want(though what you already have is enough).send all of your units at your base into yuri's base that you just destroyed. Now,its time to deal with yuri's huge base.this is kinda hard.there are psychic towers and gattling cannons all over this base.in this base you should use the old soviet style tactic.when you are ready,send all your forces/units north of their current position.rush all of your units to destroy the any gattling cannon and psychic tower you'll find.then rush them again to take out the mastermind and gattling cannons that are guarding yuri's lunar command center.then destroy it.then keep on rush attack on every structures and units that yuri has on this base.when all of yuri's structures/buildings are destroyed...no matter if he still has any units around...mission is complete. 1.7 Head Games ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Objectives: a.Destroy Yuri's fortress First,primier romanov congatulates you for destroying yuri's moon base.with yuri's moon base destroyed,yuri now retreated to his ancestral home in transylvania.where he wishes to rest and hide.primier romanov suspects that yuri still has plans for world domination and just wants to refocus himself.we cannot allow that to happen.we end his menace.end yuri before he can cause anymore trouble.we must destroy his castle nad crush him beneath the stones. Your mission is simple,just destroy yuri's fortress in transylvania,where he now hides.but it won't be easy.yuri has a very neat and well protected base.not to mention,yuri has mind controlled a soviet base on his east and allied base on his west using his psychic beacon.destroying the beacon will cause these mind controlled base turn over to your side.the bad thing is that the psychic beacons are on the very back of the allied and soviet base. But before you trouble yourself with taking out those beacons,you must first establish your own base and build a fortible defense from yuri's assault.yuri will do anything to stop you,even combining both soviet and allied technology with his very own.there's a tech secret lab on the very central east of the map.which will allow you to build grand cannons,once you've captured it.and also,a couple of demo trucks and some terrorists on the very east of your base,once you found them,you'll be able to build them and those demo trucks and terrorist will be on your command. You'll start off on the very south of yuri's fortress.you have very short time before yuri starts retaliating your position.quickly deploy the mcv and quickly build a tesla reactor then barracks then ore refinery.while you are doing these,rely on sentry guns and battle bunker defenses.yuri also has two grinders around,on the central west and central east of the map.wont be hard to take out.but you'll need a good force to take it out,yuri will try to defend it somehow.but stop worrying about it,worry about your position first.once you can build a radar tower and war factory,do so.but you'll need atleast two refinery first.you'll need flak troopers to defend against any rocketeer that yuri will send.once you have a war factory build another two war miners to help mine for your resources.then build a service depot for repairing your damaged vehicles.then,build a force of 4 rhino tanks and 2 tesla tanks,then send them west(rhino tanks first,in case any yuri clones around,the rhino tanks will be the first to be taken and the tesla tanks can easily fry out the yuri clones),where you'll find yuri's grinder,destroy it and a crate with 5,000 credits will appear,take it.then move your remaining foces back to your base and repair them at the repair depot.add more base defenses if you feel the needs,yuri is constantly attacking you as long as he holds the control over the allied and soviet base.once you can build a battle lab,build it,then build a nuclear reactor then an industrial plant.both are needly,the nuclear reactors can give you lots of power supply while the industrial plant allows you to build vehicles faster and cheaper.while you are doing these,build some flak trucks to help defend you against any air assault.and build any other units,sentry guns and battle bunkers that you may want to help defend your base.once your tesla tanks and rhino tanks(that you used to destroy yuri's grinder) are repaired,send them a bit north east of your base,where you'll find another grinder,take it out and a crate will appear,take it for a bonus 5,000 credits. Once you have all structures you can build,all that matters is some base defenses and the psychic beacons on the allied and soviet base that yuri controls,before you desire to destroy yuri's fortress. Build some flak cannons and tesla coils for additional base defenses.build an attack dog and send it east of your base.you'll find some terrorists and a couple of demo trucks that will come under your control and will allow you to build them,once you discovered them.then north of it is a tech secret lab.first,send the terrorists and demo trucks back into your base.then send an engineer to take the tech secret lab.once you've taken it,you'll be able to build grand cannons,which is a very good base defense.build some grand cannons to add up on your base defenses. Yuri has a clever tactic of sending a tesla trooper IFV and a crazy ivan IFV,both are dangerous.build a couple of apocalypse tanks and some tesla tanks to ride out and meet these IFVs before these IFVs can cause anymore trouble in your base.yuri is also sending a kirov to annihilate your base,don't let any kirov gets near your base.build some 6-8 flak trucks to ride out and meet these kirovs head on.the tactic on taking out the kirovs with flak trucks is simple...get the flak trucks on an enough range that they can fire on the kirov while the kirov can't drop a bomb.then when the kirov moves and try to get near the flak trucks,quickly move the flak trucks away,before the kirov can do any damage to your flak trucks,then get them on an enough range to fire on the kirov,again.keep doing this tactic till the kirovs are gone/destroyed...if ever the kirov does any damege to your flak trucks,repair them at the repair depot after they have taken out the kirovs. You may wish or want to build a super weapon,such as a nuclear missile silo and/or iron curtain device.don't do it.once you build any super weapon,yuri will also build a super weapon of his own,plus on the allied and soviet base he controls.which will give you more headache and troubles. Now time to hit back and take out the psychic beacons that allows yuri to control the allied and soviet base.build about 4-6 kirovs,then send them on the very west of your base,once the kirovs are on the very west,move the north,keep moving,ignore any allied assault,then once you can,have the kirovs move and take out the psychic beacons.once you'ved taken out the psycic beacon,you'll quickly gain control over this allied base.build up some additional base defenses on this base,specially grand cannons,and direct these defenses east,where yuri's base is at.have any kirovs that remains,move back to your base,then move them to the tech secret lab.from there,move the kirov north(make sure you're moving them on the very east) to the soviet base.then when they are near the psychic beacon,move them on the psychic beacon and take it out.once you've taken it out,you'll quickly gain control over this soviet base.put up some base defenses,specially grand cannons,and direct these defenses west,where yuri's base at. Yuri's fortress is very tough and strong.not even the combined nuclear missile and lightning storm can destroy it.you'll need a unit to take it out directly. Now its just a matter of time and your mercy.you can play around if you want.but to easily take out yuri's fortress.build some 6-10 prism tanks and 4-6 apocalypse tanks,built at the allied base's war factory.then just simply move them east to yuri's base.one by one have the prism tanks take out any of yuri's structure while the apocalypse tanks guards against any unit that yuri sends.keep moving and destroying yuri's base,till the prism tanks can fire on yuri's fortress.then,destroy it,with either the prism tanks or the apocalypse tanks.once yuri's fortress is destroyed...mission is complete. *Though,theres another way...ignoring the beacons at both the allies and soviet bases under yuri's control...simply build lots of miners...about 8,then rely turtling and build about 6-12 kirovs then manouver them wisely and send them right straight to yuri's fortress(ignoring any kirovs lost and enemy attacks at the kirovs) and destroy it with the mighty kirovs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- 2 - Soviet Mission Conclusion ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You'll be first congratulated by lt.sofia for your success.then,she'll tell you that they detects some signature wave or something that is consistent with the time machine.unfortunately yuri found the time machine and threatens to use it to go back in time and turn the events on his will.luckily we still have the command code for the time machine,and lt.sofia uses it to full power the time machine and just like what we've experienced before,it will take yuri on the dinosaur age.and with the power of time machine fully depleted,yuri will be trapped in time and he is.then a celebration for the victory over the allies and yuri will be shown.the soviet communisms leads the foundation for the future of the planet and across the solar system. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- 3 - Acknowledgement ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I wanna thank RADEN(www.cncgames.com) and REVORA FORUMS(forums.revora.net) for the informations on their site.I also wanna thank the creator of RA2/YR map editor cause i was able to analyze the maps on RA2 and Yuri'S Revenge with his map editing tool.the creator of XCC utility because i was able to extract mix files on RA2 and YR with his XCC utility tool.I also wanna thank Neo7 for the advice he told me when i pm him about about my plan on this walkthrough.I also wanna thank PWizard for accepting this FAQ/Walkthrough.
