A series of cannibalism cases were reported to be occurring in the forest of Raccoon City, a mid-western US town. Due to the alarming concern, the police department, "R.P.D"(Acronym for "Raccoon Police Department") ordered its own special force unit, the "STARS"(Acronym for "Special Tactics And Rescue Service") to survey the area and to investigate the matter. The Bravo team was send in first, but they lost contact with the Alpha team. Later on, the Alpha team was send in for assistance. Almost the entire STARS units were wiped out. The survivors that made it back to the R.P.D were Bravo team medic "Rebecca Chamber", Alpha team members "Chris Redfield", "Jill Valentine", "Barry Burton" and "Brad Vickers". Alpha team leader, Albert Wesker, went missing. The survivors reported that they encountered hideous monsters, apparently created by Umbrella Company, who had created a virus which can contaminate living humans and turn them into 'zombies' and the creation of other mutants. However, the police chief, Brian Iron, refuses to recognise their 'ridiculous' statement. He disbanded the STARS, and ordered the case close. That doesn't stop the trouble. Reports of missing people and cannibalism resurfaces in the town. The public began to put pressure on the local police chief to do something about it. All this while, the virus which the former STARS member encountered, the "T-virus", had slowly leaked into the town. The Raccoon City citizens are slowly turning into zombies one by one. However, some of them will still require specific keys to unlock and can't be broken down. Sometime, when you goes to examine a door, it will display the following text: It's locked with a simple lock. The door locks quite flimsy. 'brittle'. It is a hint that the door can be broken open. Not all doors that can be break open have this hint. To break a door open, simply attack it until the door opens. Every door has a fixed set of 'resistance point', which works like the vitality point of the monsters. Simply apply the damages point which will exceed the resistance point and the door will be open. Some doors can be unlocked from the other side without the need to break it open. When the door is broken open, it is indicated by the obvious opening of the door. Also, human character will now be able to use the door from both sides. As far as I know, monsters CAN break those doors, but it occurs very rarely, and it apply to some doors only. Critical Hit will not have any effect at all on doors breaking. Some weapons cannot be use to break open a door. Here are the weapons: PESTICIDE SPRAY (Ineffective) FLAME SPRAY (Ineffective) MAGNUM HANDGUN (no breakable doors after obtaining) MAGNUM REVOLVER (Ineffective) CRUTCH (no breakable doors in "The Hive") BURST HANDGUN (no breakable doors in "The Hive") SUB MACHINEGUN (no breakable doors in "The Hive") ROCKET LAUNCHER (no breakable doors after obtaining) AMPOULE SHOOTER (no breakable doors after obtaining) In some situation, melee weapons like the Scrub Brush and the Iron Pipe are not enough to break a door open (for example, using a Scrub Brush to break the first door is not enough in the "Outbreak" scenario). This is due to the fact that they will have broken down before the door is broken open. The melee weapons that can be broken down have the same damage point as its 'degenerated' parts. For example, the Iron Pipe has the same damage point as the Curved Iron Pipe. This only applies to doors breaking theory only. attacked, that means you have pulled off a critical hit. A critical hit is a hit whereby your character will inflict damage more than the usual (more than calculated). Every character has about 5% chance of getting a critical hit when using any weapon by default. Some character, however, have special abilities concerning the critical hit. \ If Jim flipped "Head" during his coin flip, his rate of critical hit increases by 15%. If he got another "Head", his chance of getting a critical hit will increase by another 15%. He can get a maximum of 45% of increasement, which means he can stop flipping after 3 "head"s. However, if he were to get a "tail", any increasement will be reset back to "0". In other words he will have the same critical rate as the rest if he got "0". Kevin's Pot Shot (performed by aiming with a gun on the eye level more than 2 seconds without any interruption) can increase the rate of critical hit to 100%. Alyssa's Pot Shot (performed by aiming with a gun on the eye level more than 2 seconds without any interruption) can increase the rate of critical hit to 100%. Mark's Melee Pot Shot (perform by aiming with a melee weapon on the eye level more than 2 seconds without any interruption) can increase the rate of critical hit to 100%. The percentage of the critical hit is yet to be determined, but I believe with a critical hit, you can inflict a total damage of around 155% ~ 175%.
