Might & Magic 6: Mandate of Heaven Okay, I've gone through this game without hacks or editors or trainers with EVERY combo I could come up with (Even four clerics and four fighters, personally I found four fighters the best difficulty level for a challenge). I'll order these parties from BEST to WORST to make it easier I'll also include an easy to use grading system =^^= Party #1: Strengths: Good Attack, Good Magic, Good Healing, Good Defense Weaknesses: Three Chars with Low HP, One char No MP 1 Knight, 1 Druid, 1 Sorcerer, 1 Paladin Grade: A+ This party has EVERYTHING YOU COULD ASK FOR!!! It has two Great Fighters (Knight & Paladin), Two great Elementalist (Druid & Sorcerer) and of course two Healers (Druid & Paladin). This is the ULTIMATE group. You can't POSSIBLY lose in this game if unless you are AIMING to die. The other good thing about this party is ONLY The sorcerer can use the Dark and Light Magic and since there's ONLY 1 Divine Intervention and Dark Containment spell in the game the sorcerer can have BOTH! Basically when starting out with this group it is best to use Turned based mode (Hit enter key) OFTEN!!! This will save on HP in the long run, but slow combat down. If you're a beginner this will help immensely with teaching you the basics of combat. You get two chars with Platemail and two chars with Leather. Master these armors and you get MAJOR attack speed. Give your knight and paladin BOTH Master Sword and Spear place a spear in the right paw and a sword in the left paw. This gives you the attack power of the sword and spear combo PLUS the defense addition of the master spear which makes up for your missing shield. Give your Druid and Sorcerer Master Dagger because twin daggers have a VERY FAST recovery rate with master leather and sometimes cause TRIPLE DAMAGE!!! ------------------- Party #2: Strengths: Good Attack Power Weaknesses: Low Magic, Low Defense 1 Paladin, 1 Cleric, 1 Sorcerer, 1 Knight Grade: C- This party in my Personal Opinion offers a good challenge for Intermediate players. It has rounded abilities but not much selection. As well you have TWO Light and Dark magic users which means you have to choose who gets Divine Intervention and Dark Containment. This group beginning is VERY VERY slow. You have VERY limited MP and EXTREEEEEMLY low HP which can cause your Cleric and Paladin's MP to drop RAPIDLY when healing, which also takes up their turn during combat. This is NOT a group for beginners. ------------------- Party #3: Strengths: HIGH Magic Weaknesses: LOW Defense, LOW Magic 2 Druids, 1 Paladin, 1Scorcerer Grade: C This party isn't for beginners, I'll say that now because of the VERY LOW Defense this group has. There is absolutely NO HP's in this group but HORDES of MP. This is an Advanced group but also EXTREEMLY Slow to get off the ground at the start. Personally I think this is an okay party once it gets off the ground. You have Three Elementalist and Three healers which is GREAT for those harder areas ESPECIALLY When fighting Oozes. Frankly, you will be VERY LOW on gold pieces with this group until their spell books are filled. On top of Levels, and the beginning Heals from Temples. An easy way to get gold for this group is to use the Version 1.1 M&M6 secret with the Obelisk Quest. Simply get your necessity spells and then use the bug. ---------------------- Party #4: Strengths: HIGH DEFFENSE, HIGH ATTACK POWER, BLOOD BATH!!!! Weaknesses: NO MAGIC!!!!!!!!CAN'T HURT OOZES!!!! 4Knights Grade: F- (Or A+ if you LOVE a Challenge) Okay this party was FUN for me. I could whip ANYTHING with ease except Oozes and Diamond Gargoyles. You have NO MP AT ALL! So you rely EXTREMLY on Healing scrolls/Potions and Elemental Magic scrolls. You will have HORDES of Cash though because you don't need to buy Magic spells. THIS IS A MASTER LEVEL PARTY!!DO NOT ATTEMPT UNLESS YOU ARE VERY PATIANT!!!! ------------------------ Party #5: Strengths: HIGH MAGIC Weaknesses: NO ATTACK POWER, NO DEFFENSE, CAN'T HURT OOZES!!!! 4Clerics Grade: F- (Or A if you like a challenge) Like Party #4, this is a MASTER LEVEL Party which requires ALOT OF PATIANCE and is VERY SLOW to get off to a good start. You won't have much gold cuz of buying spells but you NEVER have to worry about healing yourself or enhancing your characters stats temporarily. Your only bane with this group is Elemental damage, Oozes and Diamond gargoyles will tear you to SHREADS! -------------------------- Party #6: Strengths: EXTREEMLY HIGH MAGIC! Weaknesses: PFFFFFT! Where's your Defense and attack power?? 4 Sorcerers Grade: B+ *Grins*Well this is one of my FAVORITE PARTIES! Forget Attack power and Defense, you can shred your enemies from a distance with ease. Four well placed Fireballs will clear a group of Gargoyles or oozes from your ath REAL quick. All you have to do is Prioritize your spell skill advancement. 1 Char concentrates on one Element. Air, Fire, Water and Earth. I went through the game faster then I ever have after I got this group to lvl 20+ I rarely had to heal myself. But you do have THAT problem, Healing, you rely HEAVILY on healing scrolls. -------------------------- Party #7: Strengths: None Weaknesses: None Default Party Grade: D Okay The workers at 3DO game up with an okay starting party. You have everything you'll need to complete the game, BUT you will have VERY VERY Little gold on your paws cuz of purchasing spells, levels and skill enhancements. Forget trying to kill from a distance, GO IN CLOSE! Plain and simple. -------------------------- Party #8: Strengths: None Weaknesses: Low HP, Low Defense, Low Attack Power, Moderate Magic 2 Druids, 2 Paladins Grade: F- Okay this group SUCKS! Their Elemental magics are the same as a Sorcerer but you have NO LIGHT & DARK MAGIC!!!!!! You have 4 healers and 2 Elementalist. But EVERYONES Attak power is LOW until they advance in class. You will have NO GOLD after buying spells and Levels for your Skill enhancements....so unless you are looking for a HORRIBLE game, go with this party. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SKILL CONCENTRATIONS: Knight- Sword and Spear are your #1 Priority 2. Merchant 3. Plate 4. Disarm trap 5. Perception Learning MOVE this up AT THE SAME TIME AS ALL CHARS SO EXP IS EVENLY DISPERSED!!!! Paladin- Sword and Spear are your #1 Priority 2. merchant 3. Plate 4. Body Magic 5. Spirit Magic Learning, same as all others. Druid- Dagger is #1 Priority 3. Merchant 3. Leather 4. Body Magic 5. Air Magic Learning, same as the rest. Archer- Really, Don't bother with Archers, They aren't ANY Good, they are just as good with bows as a Sorcerer is. Cleric- BODY MAGIC #1 PRIORITY MAJOR!!!! 2. Merchant 3. Chain 4. Spirit Magic 5. Mind magic Learning, same as everyone else. Sorcerer- CONCENTRATE ON WATER MAGIC! The faster you get town portal the faster the game. 2. Merchant 3. Leather 4. Fire Magic 5. Air magic Learning, Same as all else.
