As you can tell from my user name, my name is Gamer364. This guide is designed to help players get all of the achievements (or trophies for PS3 players) in this game. The game seems very easy to beat, but Crazy Box will make you want to rip your own hair off, and the controls can get some getting used to (the latter beginners only). To the best of my knowledge, this game originated from the Arcade machines, but it made it first popped up in a video game system known as the Dreamcast. Speaking of the Dreamcast, if you happend to play Crazy Taxi on that system before, then you shouldn't have too much trouble with Crazy Box mode because you might have already beaten it before. I would go into more detail with this game if I wanted to make long intros on you guys, and I know you came here for the guide, so I better get on with the guide already. Note: There are a few of awards to get in this game as well, but as far as I know, it's for Xbox 360 players only (all of them are Avatar Awards). If your playing the system mentioned, then see Part5 for details. PS3 players need no apply unless updated otherwise. Warring: This guide can and will contain spoillers. I will do my best to not spoill stuff from the game, but sometimes it just can not be helped, so read at your own risk. *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+**+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* - Part 3: Achievement/Trophy Overview - +*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* Achievement/Trophy difficulty (on a scale of 1 through 5, 5 being the hardest): 3 Number of Achievements (Xbox 360): 12 Number of Trophies (PS3): 12 Least amount of playthroughs to get all Achievements/Trophies: 9 (4 Arcade Mode, 4 Original Mode, 1 Crazy Box) Number of Missable Achievements/Trophies: 0 Details: As mentioned before, this game is an easy one, but Crazy Box can and will give you a hard time. If I based the difficulty on Crazy Box alone, it would have gotten a 5. Likewise, if I based it on the Licenses alone, it would have been a 1. I made it a 3 though, because they both balanced each other out (sort of). The reason for 4 playthroughs Arcade and Original modes, is because the Licenses don't stack, so you will have to hit between appropriate amounts of money for each playthrough, each mode and no higher. Thankfully, I know the amounts you have to stay between for each License rank, and it'll be mentioned for the approptiate achievement/trophy. Otherwise, all you would have to worry about is getting an S-rank License for Aracade and Original modes and Crazy box mode. The Licenses are still easy to get though, so it's a minor setback for 100%. For some reason, if you somehow get ranks higher than S, you won't get credit for the S-rank License. My best guess, is that you are way too good for this game, and Sega decided getting credit for the S-rank licence and below was not going to happend. I wouldn't worry about that though, because it's impossible to even get close to $9,999 in this game. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- * Part 4: The Game's Achievements/Trophies and How to unlock them * -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Crazy Box Achievements/Trophies A. Skilful driver Description: You have cleared 1-1 through 1-S of Crazy Box. Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Silver Guide: Refer to Crazy Driver for Details. B. Superb Driver Description: Clear 2-1 through 2-S of Crazy Box. Achievement Points: 20G Trophy Color: Silver Guide: Refer to Crazy Driver for Details. C. Amazing Driver Description: You have cleared 3-1 through 3-S of Crazy Box. Achievement Points: 30G Trophy Color: Silver Guide: Refer to Crazy Driver for Details. D. Crazy Driver Description: You have cleared Special 1 through Special Stage of Crazy Box. Achievement Points: 40G Trophy Color: Gold Guide: The Description for this should have said "Clear S-1 through S-S of Crazy Box" because that's what you have to do for this one. You unlock S-1 through S-S after beating 1-1 through 3-S. Anyway, for the first achievement/trophy (which Sega **** up the grammer for this one) is easy enough, so don't worry about that too much. The second achievement/trophy can be a bit tricky, but nothing too hard. 2-2 and 2-S will you a hard time though. The thrid achievement/trophy however can a bit hard. 3-1 and 3-S will give you a really hard time, but you'll beat it eventually. To be honest I don't know which mission is harder between the two. Then we have the Special stages. All but S-1 will give you a hard time. For all of these, you don't have to hit number one for all of them, just beat every last one of them. Once you have beaten the S stages for Stages 1, 2, 3 and Special, you'll unlock the appropriate achievements/trophies. You have four cabbies you have to pick from (Axel, B.D. Joe, Gena and Gus), but it has no effect on the Crazy Box minigames, so pick who ever you want (I went with Axel personally). If you are having trouble, refer to this guide below. www.gamefaqs.com/dreamcast/196990-crazy-taxi/faqs/6858 This guide is writen by Nemesis If you perfer visual assistance, refer to the Youtube videos below. Licenses Achievements/Trophies E. Arcade C-license Description: You have got C class license in Arcade mode. Achievement Points: 5G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to Original S-license for details. F. Original C-license Description: You have got C class license in Original mode. Achievement Points:10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to Original S-license for details. H. Original B-license Description: You have got B class license in Original mode. Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to Original S-license for details. I. Arcade A-license Description: You have got A class license in Arcade mode. Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to Original S-license for details. J. Original A-license Description: You have got A class license in Original mode. Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to Original S-license for details. K. Arcade S-license Description: You have got S class license in Arcade mode. Achievement Points: 20G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to Original S-license for details. L. Original S-license Description: You have got S class license in Original mode. Achievement Points: 20G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: You need to get the appropriate amount money to unlock the achievements/trophies, and go through each mode four times because as mentioned eariler, licenses don't stack. Otherwise, everyone of these licenses are easy to get. You need to get between the following amounts for the apporpriate License. $2,000 - $2,999 = Class C License $3,000 - $3,999 = Class B License $4,000 - $4,999 = Class A License $5,000 - $9,999 = Class S License You can choose to play by Arcade rules or you can go on 3, 5, or 10 minute runs to get each of the licenses. It's easier to go on 3, 5, or 10 minute runs though. For the C class licenses, you will need 3 minutes, though you can bump it up to 5 if your having trouble. For the B class licenses, you will need 5 minutes, though you could bump it up to 10 if your having trouble, or even bump it down to 3 if your feeling lucky. For the A and S class licenses, you will need 10 minutes, though for the class A licenses, you could bump it down to 5 if your feeling lucky. With the A class licenses, once you reach anywhere between $4,000 and $4,999, don't pick up anymore customers. It's very easy to go over $4,999 in 10 minutes, I know, I done it a few times when going for the S class licenses and when playing for fun. -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* + Part 5: The Game's Unlockable Awards + *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- Note: As mentioned in the Intro, This stage only applies to the XBLA version of the game (as far as I know). A. Vintage Crazy Taxi Tee Description: Show off your style with this Crazy Taxi throwback. 100% Soft wasged cotton for that vintage look. How do you get unlock it: Play the game for 5 hours total. Guide: You'll get this as you go for the other achievements, unless you are good and lucky enough to beat it in 2 or 3 hours, so don't worry about not getting this too much. B. Axel's Hawaiian Shirt Description: Show off your style with this vintage Crazy Taxi throwback. 100% authentic, guaranteed. How do you get unlock it: Play the game for 10 hours. Guide: Refer to Gena's Leopard Print Tank for details. C. Gena's Leopard Print Tank Description: Show off your style with this vintage Crazy Taxi throwback. 100% authentic, guaranteed. How do you get unlock it: Play the game for 10 hours total. Guide: You most likely not get this by the time you get all the other achievements, unless you are really struggling with the game (mainly with Crazy Box), so this will be a bit of a grind. If by the time you get all the Achievements, but you don't have all of the awards and you want them, I suggest doing 10 minute runs each time for the most time possible. I would have told you to just wait it out in the Pause menu, if you get counted for the time you spend in that menu. However, for some stupid reason, you don't. In theory, you could do this in Crazy Box mode and select 1-1, because of the lack of time limit, but I'm not sure if the time you spend in Crazy Box mode is counted or not. ****************************************************************************** * Part 6: How to Contact me * ****************************************************************************** You have 2 Main ways of contacting me: 1. Send me an E-mail 2. Send me a message on my Gamertag on X-Box Live My E-mail address: shadowjohn91(at)yahoo(dot)com. My Gamertag is Gamer364. This can be done only through a text message. E-mail or Message me if you: A. See a spelling error: I may have made spelling errors as I was writing this. B. Have a question that needs asking: You may have something that needs clearing up or something to that affect. C. Have a correction to make: I'm not 100% sure on some of the stuff mentioned though out the guide. D. Want to use my guide on your website: I personally have no problem letting you use my guide on your website, as long as you ask me first, and you give me credit for it. E. Think you see someone using my guide without permission: I don't like it when people steal my stuff (at least, not without asking me first). I don't do it to other people (at least without giving other people credit for the idea), so why do it to me anyway? F. Have something to add-on to this or that/there's something I forgot to include: If there something you think I should have included, but I didn't, you are encouraged to send me an Email for this or that. Do note that if you do decide you want to message me, make sure if the topic is about Mass Effect 2. As of right now the only sites that have permission to use my guide: A. GameFAQs (I have an account with them, so they don't really need my permission.) B. Neoseeker (They have advanced permission) More to come (maybe). Don't even think about email me if you are going to send me: A. Hate Mail B. Spam C. Name Calling mail D. Barely readable/Unreadable mail E. Mail with mostly creative words (if you get my drift) F. A letter of criticism Letter A I take offence to, because I don't send hate mail to no one. I have a Spam safeguard with yahoo, and it'll tell me if I have spam or not with Letter B. Also, if I think your trying sending me spam on Xbox Live, don't think I won't write a complaint about you, and/or tell Microsoft on you. With letter C, I also take offence, because I get name called in school. Letter D, If your sending me an E-mail, have spell check available to you and you’re not sure of your spelling, then why not use it? Letter E, Unless I messed up that badly, there's really no reason for that anyway. Letter F, You can send those kinds of letter, as long as I don't find offence to it. All of these things can and will make me think your a bad person, when in reality your probably not. All in all, just don't do it. Follow these rules, and if you add-on and/or correct something, I'll give you credit for it. Note: Don't get discouraged if I don't answer you right away. Sometimes, I might be on the Computer and sometimes I'll be on Xbox Live. Your best bet is to send both an E-mail and an Xbox Live message. That way if I don't get one of your messages, I'll still be able to get the other message. Even then, I might still not get your message right away. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- | Part 7: Legal Junk, Special Thanks and Other Guides I've Done | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Legal Junk This guide is copyrighted and written by me.
