Don't go there if your work is not so necessary.
    I listen not to sympathy
    Whilst ruler of this land
Withdraw your feeble aches and moans
Or suffer smite from this my hand.

I'm reading through the comments and a lot of information is unnecessary. Like "give it time" and "don't go"

Do you even know anything about Afghanistan? Like the conditions at all?

Obv giving it time will help...

Some families who have children/siblings in Canada/USA are being sent money..those people are well off. The teenagers are crooked as well as the men. Hardly any violence...

My cousin went there recently and she went to the shopping mall. She wore this nice punjabi get-up...as for the rest of the girls were tight jeans and tight top and whatever. One group of teen girls knew my cousin was a Canadian citizen, they glared and mocked her. The way she was dressed, saying "Is that how Canadians dress?" and laughing about it. The men go up to you randomly and sniff you, men get drunk before weddings and crash them (people from their family..not just randomly crashing one)

...yeah theres a lot more than that..

Visiting a country is very different than living in it.

And yes there are different cultures to what many bear from western countries. Not that i'm trying to justify what's going on out there but it more depends on how you look at this situation?
It's a war torn country and huge gap between what has been promised and what is done.

So, yes! There are very intense situations but simply stating "Don't go there!" isn't my choice of response.

I'd say take your time, study the situation, know your goals and reasons. If they proved to be worthy of intensity then fly there!

"Still I can dream, can't I?". He quibbled.

Lot Of People Their Know How To Speak Urdu And I Am Also Going to Learn Pashto Or Farsi I Am Well Aware Of There Culture. Their Religion Sharia. And The Best Part Is That I Know Them Very Well.So I Have Decided That I Am Going There In Few Months.I Am Arranging Some Tribes Which Will Guide Me.I Knew How To Ride Horse Climb Mountains And I Will Also Go There With My Sword and Rifle For my Personal Security. I Am Very Dangerous With Blade Sure The Tribe Will Have Their Own Fire Power Like Ak 47.The Only Thing Now I Am Feeling Un Safe There Is The Presence Of American Forces There Cuz I Have Seen Many Videos And Many News Of Allied Forces Which Are Operating Their And They Do Not Behave Good With Citizens. Like They Ran Over Citizen Cars With Tanks.Imprison Them. etc. The Web Is Full Of These News And Now Wiki Leaks Has Also Reported Many Violated Issues There.

    Yep, yep there is.
My family back there reported it. Impressive that you can ride a horse and handle a knife. You could probably be a buzkashi player.

Anywho...I've always wanted to go to the mountainous area. You think all of Afghanistan is dusty and broken up, but there is a lot of beautiful scenery.

Your only concern is presence of US forces?

Well, don't get me wrong but i don't know why i sense propagandist impulses from your words!

There has been accidents but not intentionally, i can't recall tanks rolling over people!

    Their presence actually increases security.

And another thing; you really think that going vigilante with an AK and a machete cause extremist Mujaheddin of Taliban letting you alone?
