I usually go with normal, I usually say I'll play hard after beating it, but I end up not playing it

Easy. I prefer it because it gives me time to get used to the controls and whatnot without getting my butt kicked.

Normal, and if I'm playing well then I upgrade to Hard. Not worth buying if it's not a challenge.

The difficulty I play on depends on the genre of game I'm playing.

For example, shooters I tend to play on the hardest, or next to hardest difficulty, such as Halo.
RPGs I play on the default difficulty, all the time, except Mass Effect, which I play on the hardest difficulty available when I first put the disc in, and then I play on the hardest.

I usually get angry and change it to normal if it's too difficult. I very very rarely put it on easy though.
