Hi,I was wondering where one would go to edit the DLC weapons (for example, a new Firepower Pack was just released and I may want to tweak the damage or fire rate) and also if anyone has a found a way to edit the base armor (for example, having the same effects as the Kestrel armor from the aegis pack or modded even further). Thanks in advance for any help!

If you copy the weapon/armor info from the BIOWeapon.ini file in the DLC folder into the right header of your Coalesced.ini file then run the .ini fixer, it should use those stats instead of the ones in the DLC file. I did this with the Locust from the Kasumi DLC so I could get it before doing her loyalty mission and I wound up with two Locust options in the loadout screen, but since the Firepower pack weapons are automatically added to your inventory, it should just use the new stats. I haven't tried it myself yet as the weapons seem balanced enough as is.

Okay, for anyone who cares this is the way it worked for me: I originally edited the BioWeapon.ini in the ME2 DLC directory (that's in the root directory). This was a big no-no because it cause they thing to become unauthorized (I had to delete the folder and reinstall the mod - just reinstalling didn't do anything). Based on the comment here, I decided to look at the coalesced.ini file with notepad++ and I found a bioweapon tab that allows you to edit the DLC items and I have confirmed, in-game, that it works after patching it with the me2_fix_ini.

Thanks for posting this man. I may give it a try, although I got my game late so they are asking me ot pay for points to download the DLC stuff. Unless I am doing something wrong here? I really don't want to pay a dime more for this game, even if it is awesome.

Yea could you give us a hint as to where that might be? such as the line # where we can edit the DLC weapons?

Practiti0ner and Aceon, before doing anything, make a backup of all edited files beforehand! To modify DLC weapons you need to open coalesced.ini in Mass Effect 2\Biogame\Config\PC\Cooked with notepad++. Then, open up the DLC you are looking for, let's take the firepower pack that adds the M97 Mattock. Go to you root ME2 directory, open up Biogame\DLC\DLC_MCR_01\CookedPC\Bioweapon.ini. At this point, notepad++ should have two tabs, coalesced.ini and bioweapon.ini. OK? The Weapon_DesertAssaultRifle is the Mattock, the Laser pistol is the new pistol and the Geth Shotgun is self explanatory. After you are done modifying the file, save. Then place coalesced.ini into the folder with the compiler. Patch it, then replace the coalesced file into the Cooked folder. If you try and save the bioweapon.ini it will cause the dlc to become unauthorized and you have to delete the folder and reinstall the dlc (just reinstalling doesn't work). BTW, is anyone is interested, I modified the weaponry on the hover tank. It's located under [SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXHeavyWeapon_VehicleMissileLauncher]in coalesced.ini. I only modified the damage and rate of fire but I think it should be possible to modify other stats.

Edit - if you need help with what values to change go to the ME2 wikia - masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/PC_Tweaks_%28Mass_Effect_2%29#BIOGame . This should answer most of your questions.

ok your instructions become somewhat unclear after saving the file... lol and i have already tried to edit the dlc a few weeks ago and had to end up deleting and reinstalling but ok, so i have the coalesced.ini and the DLC's BIOweapoin.ini both opened up in noptepad++ and i make my changes to the weapons... but then what? if i save the bioweapon file im screwed... and why save the coalesced.ini file? (or even have it open?) i havnt made any changes to that file (only dlc bioweapon) just not real clear here.

what i use for modding is ME2 coalesced compiler, i just make my changes to the individual files in its config folder save em, and compile them with the compiler, i just wish the coalesced compiler was update to have the DLC with it... so anyways if you could clear this up for me that would be great man.
