We've had topics on movies you've seen recently or books you're reading at the moment but what about the things you did when you were growing up?

What was the one TV show you loved above all else? Movie? Book? Video Game? Or other form of entertainment?

Jurassic Park was the one movie from when I was growing up that I loved. I was crazy about dinosaurs like any guy is growing up and seeing them on the screen was simply epic. I watch the original movie now and still think those dinosaurs look just as real as they ever did. I only own about 4 movies on DVD and the original Jurassic Park is one of them.

Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit was the only game I played for 2 years before I started playing console games. It was simple and that's what made it good. You choose a car, choose a track, you choose your opponents, and you choose if you want to be in pursuit. Then you drive; you don't worry about nitrous, you don't worry about insulting the best manufacturers in the world by installing body kits on their cars, you don't worry about having to install planet sized turbos or 20 inch exhausts. You just drive, racing games just aren't the same anymore.

    Crash Bandicoot
The series I started gaming with. It all started with a PS1 and a copy of this game to bring me to where I am today. Sometimes I look back and wish I could play it again, to see if I have gotten any better.

    Halo
I recieved this with my first Xbox as a christmas present. I loved it, and I became more involved in games because of it. When I heard of the sequel I had to have it, and it's the sole reason why I kept on with console gaming.

Diddky Kong Racing, Hairy Jeremy, Charlie Chalks, Space Jam, Robbie Williams, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Pokemon trading card game.

All of the top of my head >_>

Edit: oh and the Jiggy Mccue books as well. Man, they were hilarious ^_^ I could probably still get a kick out of the first 4 if I went and read them again

    Movie:
    The Dreamstone.
Call me childish, but this is probably my favourite from childhood. It was the start of my love for fantasy, and one of my earliest memories is watching this. I've not watched it for a long time, so I forget most of the names, but there was a point where one of the main character's friends is presumed dead, and I bawled my eyes out. Plus, y'know, I only watched it at my grandma's so I associate with happiness.

    Book:
    Watership Down
This was so difficult, because I read a lot as a kid, but this seemed the best choice. My grandma read it to me when I was... seven? I think seven. I read it myself when I was eleven. It's amazing and clever and I might go read it again. Plus, it has rabbits and who doesn't like rabbits?

Other forms of entertainment? Well, video games get talked about enough. Other than that, I lived inside my head a lot as a kid, so I was either daydreaming or playing epic-adventure-make-believe which involved injury most of the time. It was still better than tea parties.

    Donkey Kong N64
The first game I got for my Nintendo, occupied me for several hours. Still a good game and I still play it when I go to my grandparents and don't pack my 360.

Super Mario on Nintendo - I don't exactly recall all the Mario games I had on my Nintendo, but I had a lot of them. And I was addicted to them. Super Mario was a fun game that I remember to this day.

Tanks 1990 - Another really cool game, I would spend hours trying to beat it or just plainly messing with the editor. Of course I would not succeed many times over, but it was still fun.

As for growing up with TV shows I liked Stargate SG-1, Farscape, Star Trek: New Generation, Deep Space 9 and Voyager, although I only managed to finish DS9. I was pretty much a sci-fi fan back then.
Ah, sweet childhood, how I miss you.
    Ayy lmao
