But wait, wouldn't developers make more money if they sold their games for all the consoles? Or does piracy affect their decision on porting games?

Not necessarily. Fanbrats are more likely to buy an exclusive game for bragging rights, and there is a more secure future, because of a big company owning the rights and wanting more money, thus having to make more games.

I doubt piracy affects their decision, since piracy seems to be lessened in more recent years. I remember a decade ago and most of my friends had a chipped PlayStation. Now I know very few people who even buy pirated games, let alone use them. The risks have become too great.

This was a problem for me when deciding between Xbox 360 and PS3

It turned into Fable series VS God of War series

In the end I just went with the cheaper console.

I think its pretty silly, because its forced me to choose to miss out on a game series, so whoever makes God of War misses out on my good money. Who knows how many other sales they missed out on.

Of course if you're a rich bugger and can afford both consoles you're sitting pretty sweet either way.
