well otherwise just turn it off while playing the game/downloading the trainer.
+1.
The trainer engine is the same for all the CH trainers, but the main code is not which gets written to your process memory (Of your game).
So an antivirus might be checking this and blocking it, or it would simply have repaired it (By that I mean corrupted it).
Some trainers depend fully on their dll's (Application extensions). They generally get extracted from the executable upon initialization. These dll's get pasted in the directory they are located in, or the system directory of Windows.
I don't know much about CH trainers, but if they are doing so and pasting the .dll files in the system directory - Adding the folder which the trainer is located in to your anti-virus' exceptions list is of no use. This is because it might be scanning an removing the .dll from the system directory, thus causing your trainer to pop in "Not responding" dialogs.
What you can really do is download the trainer and use it with your anti-virus turned off.
Any other ideas I could try?
Have you tried running the same trainer on a different system? This may confirm that your system is the root cause behind the problem or not.

No I haven't... But assuming my system was the root cause what would be the next step in the progress of making the trainers work for me?

Tough question for me, the problem could be anything!
I can guess updating Windows or repairing Windows by inserting its bootable disc can help.
I really got no idea how CH trainers are coded, what resources they need. You are saying the other trainers work, and that really confuses me.
