The easy way to start giving yourself an advantage is to go to this file C:\file path...\arsenal of democracy\db\difficulty and modify the values within as long as you can open Excel. Just be advised to not set the value on research too high cause for me it set all my research progress to zero.

how high did u set ur research to. and what was the the highest u set it to get the most speed

I set the research at 100000 and it stopped all my research. The slowest I've seen the research go at 10000 is about 1% or so with research that is 3 to 4 years ahead of it's time. That's the fastest I can it without editing the year of the research itself. To edit the research itself, go into the tech folder in the same path and open one of the files there (once you open the folder you'll understand). At the start of each tech, it'll list when the research is supposed to take place. That is what you edit.
