Can someone tell me, where i can check the version number ?

I bought borderlands via steam (without DLCs) and I am trying to get the 1.2 Trainer to work. Unfortunately as soon as i try to activate the Trainer at the Menu, the game crashes back to desktop.

I think that might be because i don't have the right version.

    Open the game directory.

    It's usually in "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Borderlands".

    Then open the "Binaries" folder.

Find the Borderlands.exe file. It might just say "Borderlands" and then "Application" under file type, depending on your view options.

    Right click, select properties.

Go to the tab that says "Details" and on that should be the product version.

In some cases you can also just mouse-over (not click, just put the mouse over the file) the EXE file and it'll display the version # in the little info pop-up... at least it does for me in Vista x64

How about the retail version? I can't find the version number on this one.

Ok I found it but none of the trainers still work. I tried the non patched version game crashes, I downloaded the patch 1.41 it still crashes. I wonder if this is because I downloaded it off line from D2D. Their games and PW's trainers and cheats normally work well, but not this time.

As PWizard said in another thread, the Direct 2 Drive versions are not supported.
