Dancer, how about instead of wasting your efforts pointing out negative things about God; you do something more productive.
Productivity?
As far as I am concerned, religion is the most counter productive hobby humanity could ever invest it. Like collecting imaginary stamps.

I'm pretty sure I didn't say religion was productive and nether is complaining about it.

Ok, I'll map it out for ya buddy.
Surely, If I am trying to convince people not to believe in a god, which I deem to be counter-productive, surely I am therefore being productive in my efforts. Like, trying to save the world.
I agree with Serivor. Why try to change their way of thinking? If they want to be what you refer to as deluded, then let them be deluded. They obviously seem to like it. After all, ignorance is bliss.
It isn't about whether you should convince people to join your religion (or abandon religion), it's about productivity. Saying negative things about a god is just as productive as saying positive things.
Live and let be.
Religion is notorious for not letting others "live and let be".
So long as there are people trying to convince/indoctrinate others to buy into their religion, I will feel obligated to promote free thinking and provide an alternative perspective as a response.
In all honesty, I don't see how people could believe in god unless they don't properly understand the scientific explanations to life or simply do not have the mental capacity to comprehend the nature of our existence beyond the simplification of one thing making every other thing for no apparent reason.

The term "Ignorance is bliss" should be reserved for moments such as, not wanting to know what part of the pig you are eating for dinner. On a global scale, ignorance is disastrous and stunts our progression as intelligent beings.
